says the guy twice quoting very questionable sources... ;)

@ElrowLovers I get your point, even if I don't agree with it. it's sadly how a lot of the big mainstream media work - big sensationalist headlines. for everything, not just for corona. still, I also believe that your very 'hard' views on the matter might change when you suddenly hear of someone young and perfectly fit dying. I hope it won't happen to you of course, but the one thing I just can't come to terms with is that you seem to accept some perfectly fit people will die (because as you have seen, the figure isn't zero - it is close to zero, but not zero) just so we can continue with normal life ASAP. I've said it yesterday, I'm starting to suffer of the lockdown, but just saying 'fook this, let's crack on with life' is simply inhumane in my opinion.

You're going on ignore. Not a single person agrees with you. Your views are dangerous, uninformed and arrogant beyond belief. The way you are posting on this subject about old people almost being dispensable are abhorent because you want to go out and party. You have a nurse who works on the front line in London posting on here and you're still posting absolute f***ing drivel.

Oh and your taste in music is shit too ?
Whatever dude. My posts are just being framed in a certain direction. I Never said I dont care about old or vulnerable people. I never said I want to go out and party. Im just trying to have a mature debate about the effects of the measures, what the exit strategy should be and the influence of the media. But you can put me on ignore, because you weren't really reading what I said in the first place so what's the difference?
No hard feelings by the way, this is the Ibiza forum. Peace and love.

But as long as I'm welcome here, I will keep posting alternative views. Not as a gimmick, but because I feel they need to be heard an read too.

I get it Stivi. And yeah I'll check my sources too.
In general; Words on paper / screen may sound harder than I mean them.
And yeah I actually said close to zero. And while it may sound or read like I'm saying 'fook this', I'm actually not. But I do strongly believe the measures can do more harm than we now realize.

I'll stress this again: I hope everyone here and their great great grandmother stays healthy. I'm far from inhumane.
I just question the measures and strategies and I'm not alone in this...and not just in questionable sources or conspiracy thinkers. There is a growing amount of people questioning the current situation based on numbers and facts.

Anyway, I'll go back to lurking for a while again from now on, I dont want to cause forum unrest or people throwing their laptops against the wall.

World is so depressing that i avoid to read news about Covid 9 virus but with this lockdown i ve made up my minds after watching a few youtube videos. ?
With everything closed i was thinking to have my head shave (thing i do at hairdresser just b4 going to ibz in summer as its very hot there in aug ? , add the hat in clubs ), did it and will keep that habit once life is back to normal ?‍? ? (monk salute)

For not shaved guys , watch those videos and time to make a new start , the new Covid 9 trendy haircut? ?

i havent seen lot of shaved girls except sinnead o connor but this girl is better shaved than with a hair.

don't worry about the laptops ;) everyone simply stay friendly :)

yeah your words, at least to my ears, do sound harsh. it's good you seem to see that.

I am just as convinced that lockdowns can't continue forever, I'm totally sure there will be negative consequences because of them, but in this case I'll go with what the majority of scientists says - it's the best option to get through it. there will always be different options and as people start to get very annoyed because of their confinement (hello I'm one of them), those different views are starting to get a bigger following. it's a logical move.

So let me say this:
I said: Young healthy people don't die from this virus.
But I understand...there are exceptions and young healthy people can die from this virus. However, the number is very very low. Close to zero as it seems in the statistics. But statistics are numbers and if you lose someone close to you numbers don't mean shit.
And I don't want to hurt anyones feelings denying that young people can die from corona. So ill take that back.
It was just a sentence in a post about the media trying to scare us while in reality the amount of young people dying is still very low.

This virus will be the
I'm just starting to hate our (dutch) media. They headlines of today are:
'TEENAGER DIED OF CORONA'.
But if you read the article it says...it's a grown up (so 18 or 19 years old) who had severe underlying suffering.

So yeah it's terrible. My heart goes out to the family. But the media has to stop this. Healthy teenagers don't die of corona. In the end of this all there will be near to zero percentage of healthy young people who have died form this virus. The amount of people hospitalized are rapidly declining and so is the death toll say the numbers in the Netherlands. And there is more and more discussion about ending the semi-lockdown asap for people under 65 so the economy can get back up and running again. Im still convinced we are now in a phase where the measures could be soon doing more harm than good.

Just because she had underlying health conditions it doesn’t mean she was on the verge of death though?

My brother is 24, is fit, healthy and lives a rich and fulfilling life but because of immunosuppressive drugs he takes he would qualify as ‘underlying conditions,’ and would probably be fukced if he got this thing.

there will be a significant number of people dying from the virus who would have died within the next few months anyway for one reason or another. However the vast majority won’t have. We can’t just say because people with ‘underlying conditions’ are dying it’s okay or tolerable because that phrase spans so many different people and health disorders it’s unreal.

Eg asthma is classed as an underlying condition.

I caught the back-end of someone talking on the news about death figures, they suggested that most deaths are in the 80+ bracket in the UK. But each bracket from 15 years had seen Roughly a 6% rise. Think it was from the ONS

UK government committing to outdoor exercise, even going as far as to ask local councils to reopen previously closed parks today. Would be bizarre to toughen measures now

Hospital admissions and ICU capacity heading in the right direction too

not confirmed yet, but some newspaper articles hint at our lockdown possibly being kept strict until 11th may :( only exception might be families with kids possibly being able to go out of the house a little.

this would mean another three weeks of total confinement :(

Ah fcuking hell, keep your chin up pal I'm sure the sacrifice will be worth it when the lockdown is lifted for you.

Your lockdown is a tougher one than the UK's!

As a positive though, you have Ibiza on your doorstep when you do get to venture back out :D? that is a nice light to have at the end of the tunnel.

If its any consolation to you, my only vacation this year will probably be to Blackpool ? (Google it if you've never heard of it, it'll instantly cheer you up)

Apologies to anyone that reading this that lives in Blackpool, no offence meant ✌ In fact I offer my condolences.

it's ok, we'll get over it. the president of the government is just announcing the next extension right now, I'll add details in the other thread in a bit.

Don't do it mate!!!!! ?

My mullet is getting so long now that I've just started having to dry it with a hair dryer that I've lent from one of the girls where I'm working.

My hairs got loads of volume now, looks like I'm in some sort of 80's new romantic band or something ?‍?

My younger sister actually shaved her head last week live on facebook for charity and made over £1000 for the NHS, maybe you could do the same :D ?

If it goes like the last days , you will have 20 cases in hospital in ibiza after 10 may and no additional ones. That means , that there are less unidentified cases on the island ( not 0 , because symptom free cases you will not find ) Worth of waiting for it.
If I could choose : I would take it , if I has to stay at home for this.

ah I agree. I know it's too early to lift the general lockdown. the only thing I would have wished for is a relaxation that would allow us to leave the house for walks or runs as is the case in other countries. nothing more .
