I think I saw that news report from Italy. Involved a story about a bar/restaurant that the owner thinks will be highly unlikely to reopen now?
Also saying something along the lines of certain places will not be allowed to reopen until there is a vaccine.
I'm hoping it is pessimistic conjecture, although it does seam like a sad reality the deeper we get into this pandemic and its ever increasing consequences.

it's a possibility that certain places (restaurants, bars, clubs - places where lots of people congregate within a small space) aren't allowed to open until covid-19 is dealt with or only with a far smaller capacity than their usual.
and I fear that sadly, some businesses simply won't have the reserves and might not get enough help from the state to survive until then.
but for spain, the way I see it currently, the government is really trying to help as much as possible so that businesses don't die. it's clear though that anything nightlife as well as culture will sadly be the last bits opening again

Think the UK has behaved reasonably well this weekend, the lure of hot weather on Saturday and a 4 day weekend is always temptation to misbehave but aside from a few house parties being broken up not seen much in the media (and the media will jump on anything at the moment)
Of course more weeks of lockdown to come, but hopeful like Spain some restrictions will start to loosened in a few weeks.

HOW TO HAVE SEX WHILE ON LOCKDOWN WITH THE KIDS IN THE HOUSE.
The only way to pull off a lockdown afternoon 'quickie' with their 8-year old son in the apartment was to send him out on the balcony with a Mars Bar and tell him to report on all the street activities.
He began his commentary as his parents put their plan into operation:
'There's a car being towed from the car park,' he shouted.
'An ambulance just drove by!'
'Looks like the Andersons have people round,' he called out.
'Matt's out on his bike and his mum is telling him off'
'Looks as if the Sanders are going into full isolation!'
'Jason has had his skate board taken off him
After a few moments he announced, 'The Coopers are having sex!!'
Startled, his mum and dad shot up in bed!
Dad cautiously called out,
'How do you know they're having sex?'
'Jimmy Cooper is standing on his balcony with a Mars Bar'!!

I don't think it's in the EU's gift to decide which countries can and cannot take tourists; and I don't think Spain, Portugal and Greece + Cyprus would be overjoyed to hear that from a country that doesn't need tourism when they clearly do.

At the end of day, there’s very little for media outlets to write about or distinguish themselves from other forms of news so there’s a massive incentive to find someone who will make the most far-fetched claims to grab a headline.
No one knows really has a clue where this is going or when it will all end, best not to get too caught up in the guessing game imo.

Interesting that Spain and Italy are loosening the lockdown so soon. I assumed the UK would be mid-late May and Italy/Spain would be a couple of weeks before that. It feels too soon but i guess if it doesn't spike too much and you have the capacity then it's ok for a certain amount of people to get it.
I guess the theory is that the R0 rate is currently below 1 so once the time to get symptoms etc happens then there will be a drop so maybe they do need to loosen so a few more get it, whilst staying under capacity. They can't lock down until a vaccination so that can be the only route really?

I think Spain will be till 10 may, and maybe still full lockdown until then...
Only non essential workers went back today, construction workers etc, people that can work from home still must
They are giving out free masks on metro and hardly anyone on the metro... If you are in the metro you have to wear a mask
My ex boyfriend from Italy and he says that only library opening up and not bars or restaurants yet
Think cases will spoke again when things start to open up again.... If things spike too much again maybe full lockdown again
China advising new cases are people coming in, some people are saying they are getting new cases anyway not sure

U live in madrid? I am in Pueblo Nuevo Metro by barrio conception.
There is a little bit of life, not much at all, not many people in the streets and they only going supermarkets or tobacco shops
