Yeah I have no problem if it is occasional, but from what I and other have seen, it seems some are not. Eg, multiple trips out and back every day with random different family members. Basically treating it as nothing has changed.
Allright, agreed that's a whole different story. We stick to the same routine. I pick up the kids and head straight to my home. Then bring em back after a few days. Just one exwife and 2 children with her, I've learned my lesson ;-)

Im not doing this on purpose, I promise but....

I'm a divorced dad with 2 kids.
My long time girlfriend has 2 kids too.
The kids come and go, because we both have arrangements signed by the divorce lawyer a few years ago.
If the Dutch lockdown was stricter...like Spain, Italy, UK?...I would not be able to see my children for a indefinite amount of time because governments have no exit plan in place. They just said Lockdown and we'll see what the future brings. I dont blame those people (if that's the category you're referring to with families divided over multiple households) not obeying the lockdown because most of the lockdowns are not smart, not reasonable and have not thought about these kind of circumstances and not have an end date in sight. You cannot just separate people from their children for weeks or perhaps even months..
Both parents can see children if separated in UK

Governments should do the right thing and reschedule the public holidays to the summer.
Never even thought about that.

I'm normally off these days but we are being asked to work. (although double pay and time in lieu)

For crying out loud. What on Earth do public holidays matter?! So many working from home, so many fired, so many furloughed (in the uk). And enormous taxation to follow to enable governments to balance the books. We are all in this together trying to make society functional. Society before self.
cant wait to stay there. Sad example of the times we live in. Credit to the hotel for making itself available. A wake up call for the extent of this issue for all.

I would guess that is their current plan / earliest possible date when they think they might be able to fly again.

time will tell. personally I think it‘ll be later than that
