yeah you can surely see it like that (a bit ballsy). but then again, I do understand that such a strong agency thinks 'hmmm instead of giving away all our artists to various nights, we should actually do our own night'. if that's a good decision we shall find out this very season...
I don't think all those artists are going to be 100% exclusive to them. but most probably none of them are going to play other nights at the same club. and IF they play other venues on the island, then it's probably not going to be in the same week they play hyte. just so that hyte gets protection (which is a normal cause really).
you know, hyte will definitely have strong line ups. but still, it won't be a walk in the park for them. first of all, they have a big in-house competition with the two biggest and well-established techno nights on the island. second, what we've already discussed, if people go to ibiza for a week, they won't wanna go to the same club 3 times in a row. third, they go up against paradise (who've become very strong) and we love (bit of a surprise box this year) and fourth, a strong line up alone doesn't guarantee success. let's take enter 2014 as an example - I think we all agree their line ups were very, very strong (both discoteca and terraza), but still - they had lower numbers than in the year before!
it's going to be very interesting for sure.
