Cocoon 2015

i would think being that Hyte seems to be the one taking from djs who were formerly at Cocoon

cocoon, music on, enter, tribal sessions...all of them will be affected to some extent by hyte. even circoloco and paradise. I'm not talking about numbers here, but artists who no longer will play at one of those parties because they're playing at hyte.

add on to the above: so far cocoon line ups are really good - to me they don't look any weaker than usual. yes of course we sadly won't see dettmann and klock (to name an example) at cocoon, but the line ups announced so far are really solid.

Completely agree, I'll be in there on June 29th and really like the mix of the lineup, would've really like to catch Adam b2b Ida and Scuba on the 15th but still very pleased. Looking forward to see what the rest of the lineups look like and to compare to what Hyte brings to the table.

Are they going to play at Hyte? They played in my town saturday night 5hrs b2b and literally destroyed everything

Anyone else think Skream at Cocoon is strangest booking of the summer so far or just me?

understand what you're saying, but they'll also have ben UFO for example. and scuba, eats everything and hot since 82. a bunch of ex- we love players really.

Yeah I know…I know Eats Everything can adapt and has played there last 2 seasons. Ben UFO and Joy Orbison have a harder, darker sound which I think could work….just not sure where Skream fits into it all, can't see his sound fitting. Every time Ive seen him since he stopped playing dub step he's played disco practically.

have you heard his recent tune yet? sounds very very cocoon to me!

Haha fair play hadn't heard that! I'll stand down!
Speaking of Crosstown Rebels - Damian Lazarus essential mix this Friday.

Curious to know as to why you're not a fan?

His sets are don't feel like they go anywhere. He was good at the start when he first broke up with Deep Dish and went down the techno route...he did a B2B with Steve Lawler back then which was good. It was the year of Grindhouse. But I've heard some recent sets and they kinda go nowhere. I feel bad, because he's a nice guy... when he was with Deep Dish officially back in the day he was dancing in the crowd while Sharam was playing and we actually talked a little bit about his upcoming GU: Taipei mix...

I kinda wish he went back to a more housier sound. He's better at that.

another very strong date. if solomun's not your thing, the main room line up is also VERY good!

Who headlines....Sven or Solomun?

someone more knowledgeable than me can answer this.....What exactly is the pull of Hyte for all these artists who will now no longer play for much more established Ibiza nights eg Cocoon? I understand that Hyte put on some big events, but to have this power over artists for Ibiza dates - am i missing something..?

so, in the essence, the hyte party is run by the artistalife agency who are using their roster of artists. and using them exclusively regarding Ibiza shows.?
