Cocoon 2015

Impressed with the Cocoon line-ups so far. Hoping the 10th August date doesn't disappoint!

that's something that actually hasn't happened for a long time I think. sven doesn't do many b2b sets generally and both ricardo and richie play quite different stuff to what sven plays. last year, sven and luciano went back to back one day on the terrace for the last two hours and I didn't enjoy it at all.

But yea you are right hasnt happend in a long time. Luciano and ricardo go good together but i know thats not happening

Is maceo doing any cocoon dates this year?
 
great lineups so far! missing alicante and kaden as regulars, though :/ but kaden only doing live-shows this season, so he'll probably be there as a one time guest only.

and I for one love my dubfire, just saying .. ;)

Did Cocoon think (in light of increased competition yet again) that Alicante & Kaden were not big enough crowd-pullers versus the Hyte/ENTER./Music On rosters??

I hope not, as both hold their own. They might not be as big-a-name as some of the other acts, but they've always delivered when I've seen them.

dont think music on is a competition. its very far from cocoon enter and any other tech party in ibiza in respect to music environment crowd etc. and the way it goes

It's a completely different sound and crowd, granted.

But as been mentioned many a times - if you're in Ibiza for a week or even a fortnight who wants to go to the same venue twice?

Sven had objections when Music On was first conceived, and I can totally understand why. Amnesia was his territory.

Maceo plex is a confirmed resident at HYTE according to RA

and re kaden & alicante - only one third of line ups out until now, plenty of lineups left to release. next one coming in a bit...

Interesting. I wonder if that means he'll be exclusively at Amnesia this summer? Judging by the artwork he is clearly their headline act for the opening.

he said it in several interviews (google thump) and on his fb feed:
"from June this year I will be playing 99.9% of my gigs LIVE!!! I'm looking forward to this journey"

but I'll be glad if he makes an exception for cocoon :)

OK interesting, hadn't seen this.
 
not the biggest fan of live-sets, it's just too short and normally no difference is noticable to a dj set except that you hear only the artist's productions.
I'd prefer kaden to play all his album tracks in a 4 hour set together with other stuff.

This is interesting to me because I would have no issue going to Music On and Cocoon if the lineups are both proper (which i also will most likely do late aug/early sept for my 2nd and last visit of the summer). As you mention Svens sound and Marco's couldnt be any more different sides of the spectrum, what throws the monkey wrench in it for me is Hyte, as going to the same venue a 3rd time in a trip is a lot, and thats where the decisions will come in more likely between Cocoon/Hyte i would think being that Hyte seems to be the one taking from djs who were formerly at Cocoon
