Loads got taxed at the festival I went to. Dog indicated - given option to give it up and enter or no entry. Girls and boys still searched after giving up.

Glad you still enjoyed it 👌

I’m guessing that was on Saturday in Burnley? Had a load of mates who went, half got through and the other half didn’t!

one pal saw a young lass double drop after she saw the dog and then she disposed of the rest! Dangerous game in my view! I wish they would sod off! What do they expect at a dance festival!

That was part of Fabric argument against dogs which absolutely makes sense. Seen it multiple times at festivals , warehouse project etc

Yes 👍 understand from a promoters point of view for licensing etc but it can be counter productive.

Breaking news from Berlin, vaxinated people will be allowed clubbing again without any restrictions... starting this Saturday... lets see what the clubs do with this...

Long German article:

Same here in my area. Apparently, Clubs can open with 100% capacity and allow dancing without masks, if
- they only allow vaccinated, recovered or tested guests (PCR)
- they have a ventilation system big/strong enough to meet the criteria of the health ministry (whatever those are)
- have it all approved by the local health ministry

So definitely some hoops to jump through. Also not sure how many young unvaccinated people will actually get a PCR test to go clubbing…

Not ideal, but after 1,5 years it’s better than nothing. Apparently one of the local clubs here is looking to open this Friday already. If so, I‘ll probably be there. Never know how long it‘ll last…

Weird thing in Germany is...testing is not enough. You have to be vaccinated or recovered.
While actually...if you're vaccinated or recovered you can still carry the virus, if you're tested negative you are (at least at the moment of testing) not carrying it.

On hoops to jump through, I can only say do it. You will not regret getting tested as soon as you're in the club or on a huge field with >10.000 people around you dancing.

Oh absolutely, 100% (aside from the fact, that the „club“ I‘m talking about here is probably lucky to have 10.000 people in a year… VERY small 😅)

As I am vaccinated, I actually don’t have any hoops to jump through myself. Was more referring to those needing the PCR tests (which, let’s face it, will mostly be in the clubbing target group, at least age wise) and also the clubs themselves. Very curious to see if it works out.

The way I understand it though, is that testing would be enough, although it has to be PCR. Will have to confirm this.

If you're from Germany, this is what the article says...but if you can find more info, I'm interested cause this seems like a weird move and different from other EU countries:

Under the new system, clubbers will be allowed indoors if they've been vaccinated or have recovered from a Covid-19 infection. There will be no capacity restrictions and no mask rules. Those who are unvaccinated or have never had Covid-19 will still be barred entry, even with a negative PCR test.

Pretty sure this is all still being worked out (not like they had 1.5 years to do this…)

I was looking at the document Clubs can use in my Bundesland (Baden-Württemberg) to apply for re-opening without masks on the dancefloor (the last part is obviously the critical one).
In that document, it outlines different options for opening: with masks on dancefloor, without masks and good ventilation, without masks and CO2 measurements… But for some of these options, it definitely says tests only are ok as well (though as stated, has to be PCR).

This obviously has to be very complicated and detailed, we‘re German after all…

Here‘s a link to the document, obviously in German.

That Amnesia takeover in Croatia looks good.

Can see Croatia as being the spot next year.
I definitely hope Ibiza uses this down time to reflect and reinvent their music / clubbing policy a little.. shake things up with some smaller / up n coming yet popping nights going down in the world right now and step away from the samey same big brands and big names.. or the younger generation of clubbers will look to further their party holiday experiences else where. Croatia being a great example of somewhere with huge diversity in their parties
