Must say this is a very sad situation...Elrow already had their trucks with stages there.
Elrow Town Amsterdam on the 25th of September is also under pressure because the Dutch government could allow festivals taking place from September 20th....with a final decision to be made on September 17th. If the decision on the 17th turns out negative after all this will be another London like situation where preparations and stage building is already ongoing.
Went to Belgium last Saturday to Amelie Lens at Atomium...7500 people and sunshine, awesome to see this again.
I got in right before Amelie started and had some problems getting into it and Amelie posted herself she thought it was tough starting a 5 hour set while her label mates were banging 140 BPM techno already. Had a lot of fun anyway but at times it was a bit too much / hard for my taste.
If Belgium does not cancel their upcoming events because of rising numbers ....I'll be back there in two weeks for Solomun 5 hours.

Just to reiterate my point from yesterday again…
See Circoloco event #1 - lineup containing some of the very finest selectors but that are admittedly lesser known to the mainstream and not “big ticket seller” DJ’s per se. The event is mysteriously cancelled and widely slated online by the masses (not by people like @W_I_C may I add
)
Suddenly today another Circoloco event is announced one week later, in a slightly different area of London but a totally different lineup containing the usual suspect DJ's and would you believe it the masses are lapping it up already. Without a shadow of a doubt the second sells out and is a roaring commercial success!
This is in no way a dig at Circoloco themselves may I add - just an amusing observation of the modern day lineup needed to throw a commercially successful event of a larger scale!
I don’t know about you but I sure as hell know which lineup I prefer….
I am aware I am a bit of a ‘musical chin striker’ but still I do find it a little sad that lineups such as the first one aren’t given the respect they deserve!

Been out in Ayia Napa twice over the last week, given they're not proper clubs but the party area like the West End was busy and night clubs nicely packed and going off until 5am when I left.
Had to show a covid pass at virtually every bar, no problem for me!
