#Brexit

You might find many Scots (like me) have changed their mind since the last time. The vast majority of us didn't vote for Brexit or a far right Tory government. I wouldn't be embarrassed if we lost the vote. The only reason unionists are so scared of another indie ref is that there's a better chance that a yes will be returned.

Far right?? I think you really need to learn what far right means. Just because a party wants to put in an Australian style immigration points system they are right

Far right Tory government???? Have a day off.
Foreign Secretary son of a Czech Jew who fled the Nazis. Home Secretary daughter of Ugandan Indians. Party chairman’s mother is from Sierra Leone.
And you wonder why you lost.

I think you need to read some of Boris Johnson's words - racist, homophobic, sexist can reasonably be applied to some of the things he's written. I do see him as, at the very least, a far right enabler.

Boris Johnson would secure a 104-seat majority under proposed boundary changes that could be introduced before the next election, an exclusive analysis reveals.
The Conservatives would have twice as many seats as Labour under the reforms which were put forward by the Boundary Commissions in 2018 for a slimmed down 600-seat House of Commons.
The Tories would have 352 seats (just 13 down from their 365 seats in the new Parliament) compared to Labour’s 174 (down 29 seats on their current showing), with the SNP in third place on 47 (just two down).
The Liberal Democrats would drop another four seats to have just seven MPs, tied with Sinn Fein and the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP).

Sad thing is we now throw around far right, nazis every day that actually it loses what those words actually mean

Do you think there was something special about those Nazis? Or do you think they were 'normal' people that eventually did horrible things? Tommy Robinson, a racist with a history of violence, and Britain First now see the Tory party as good to join. It's a slippery slope. I'm sure there are many people now who find it just that little bit easier to be racist.

I couldn't agree more. The leader of the Tory party, now our prime minister, referred to black people as "piccaninnies" with "watermelon smiles", Muslim women as "letterboxes" and gay men as "tank-topped bum boys". These are unequivocally racist and homophobic comments. Rather than the terms "Nazi" and "Far Right" being misused, prejudice is becoming normalised to the extent that many people no longer recognise it for what it is or, in an increasing number of cases, even consider it wrong.

If you watch the recent BBC documentary about the rise of the Nazi party, the parallels with what's happening today are truly frightening!

So you will help put your country in jeapardy and confusion by voting leave just because you didn't like the result of the general election?

And they moaned blind at Brexiteers voting leave because they didn't "know the facts" . . . . laughable

What next if scotland votes remain again?

Haha the Nazi card is out. Wondered how long it would be, do you see Boris goose stepping? Do you see Britain invading Poland? Do you see the Torys drawing up plans for gas chambers

No....

All I see is the anti semites in the Labour Party

Surely if Scotland wishes to have a 2nd referendum then that's their business and no-one elses? Or am i missing something ?‍♂️
They had their once in a generation/lifetime referendum 5 years ago and the people voted No. You can’t call another referendum every time you disagree with something.

Surely if the desire is there though, that would be a decision for Scottish people?

In the same way Brexiteers don't wish to be dictated to by the EU, they inturn should not be enforcing on Scotland

Scottish Independence, Brexit, Trump. The common theme here, is the losers, not accepting the result.

Not at all, the common theme is a 'little englander' mentality and refusal to accept other peoples opinions

I accept different parts of a country will have different attitudes to Brexit based on their own experiences

It's a bit more serious than that - Scotland is being dragged out of the EU against its will. ~60% voted to remain up here.
Yes but you also voted to remain in the UK? So you are still part of the union, so you should still accept the votes that have happened?

I would say its the other way around, that is the major reason why we haven't left yet

My personal opinion on Scotland, I like the union, I like the British Isles, the Scots I've spoke to have all been a decent bunch who like the English (believe it or not & the union)

But if you left so be it, we would save money on the subsidies Westminster give you which could be used to fund domestic problems in England & Wales, NI

It would keep Jimmy Krankie aka Sturgeon out the news for a few months before it goes tits up, England and the rest of the UK would survive it won't be the end of the world. Now if others follow suit, NI is handed back to ROI & Wales is its own country then England would still survive as its own country and everybody would be happy.

What annoys me is the fact that you have had your vote yet you still keep banging the same drum, when will it stop? What if you have another vote and that goes tits up? Accept democracy for what it is, there is more things in Scotland that needs worrying about more than independance
