I read on another website that apparantly two suicide bombers walked into Canary Wharf, but were shot dead by security guards? :? 8O

Not sure how true this is but something definately happened at Canary Wharf :(

Apparently, there were 3 subway blasts but 2 of them were between stations and one (Edgeware Rd) was at/in the station. That's why there was the initial information that 5 stations were hit.

They are confirming just the one bus blast now at Tavistock Sq.
More specific info:

Blasts occurred:
Between Aldgate East and Liverpool Street tube stations
Between Russell Square and King's Cross tube stations
At Edgware Road tube station
On bus at Tavistock Square

Other bits from BBC:
- The officer in charge of policing the G8 summit said many of the 1,500 Metropolitan Police officers in Scotland would be urgently redeployed to London

- New Olympics minister Tessa Jowell said celebrations to mark the homecoming from Singapore of the successful London Olympic bid team have been cancelled

- Mobile phone services across London were jammed with all major networks reporting problems as people tried to contact relatives and friends. A spokeswoman for Vodafone said the emergency services were being given priority.

- Some 208 casualties were taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, with 26 people admitted - 13 are in theatre and another three are in intensive care.

2 people at work who've got friends who work at Canary Wharf got texts from them saying the same thing.

There's definitely a lot of stuff that we're not been told at the moment.

It appears that more of the story is just starting to come out:

At least 33 people have been killed and 1,000 injured in a series of terror attacks on London.

The first blast hit a train leaving Liverpool Street Station between Moorgate and Aldgate East at 8.51am. Seven people are confirmed dead in that blast.

At 8.56am a blast occured on a train between King's Cross and Russell Square killing 21 people.

Five people were killed in a blast at Edgware Road Tube station. Three trains are believed to have been hit by this explosion at 9.17am.

At 9.47am a number 30 bus at Upper Woburn Place was hit by a fourth blast. Emergency services could not confirm the number of dead in this attack.

And there's this:

Just to confirm the state of the mobile networks..

They ARE running but emergency service handsets have Access Control Override (ACO) which means their calls get priority and will kick normal users off the network to make way for their calls if necessary.

It's reviving the day of horror trains in Madrid. I don't understand why those brainwashed maniacs believe they'll reach their own paradise with beautiful girls by killing innocent people. Morons!

My condolences to the victims,
and cheer up London!

I turned on the news this morning and heard the news. I immediately thought about my spotlight family. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone. I hope everyone is safe and sound.

Big hugs to all those needing one.

Fookin ell as if I'd encourage scare mongering on a day like this??? Give me some credit!

It's from a (fairly) reliable source and that's all I can say.
