Anyone know what's going on at L'pool Street Station?

power surge was the orignal story wasn't it?

they wonder why there is no trust in the people who run our country when they try to cover things up from everyone?

It's to prevent panic - someone shouts 'bomb' and as many people get trampled as in the original explosion....

1424 Suddenly, the terrible scale of today's attack becomes clear. Ambulance sources, reported on Sky, suggest 23 people have been killed at King's Cross, nine at Edgware road, seven at Aldgate, two at Russell Square. There are hundreds - possibly more than a thousand - injured. We're trying to verify the numbers.

they're doing it not to cause too much panic, and to keep everything under control.
the best way, until they find out all the information so the media don't speculate too much.

Although its really frustrating I can kind of understand why they did that. When you think about how many people are on the tube at any one time, if panic broke out it could lead to an even bigger disaster.

I think they are probably holding back some information now to give a bit more of a chance to the already overstretched emergency services.

BTW if anyone needs it the City of London police emergency number is 0208 358 0101.

holy shit!

only one person walked away from this

number 30 hackney-marble arch

I find it soooo hard to understand how a human being (I dont care what religion) can go and deliberately cause such devastation. Its just so sad.

ferdy mate, if u truly believe in something as much as these people do, you can be capable of anything.

i understand that, but in serious situations like this the people need the information to make informed decisions.

example: beckiboo got off the tube because of a "power surge", she had some choices, one of which was getting on a bus, another was getting into a park/open space etc.

see what i mean?

yeah i know, theyre not doing it just to see the effect, some actually die in setting off these bombs.
they believe what they are doing is right. which is very disturbing.

Apparently, there were 3 subway blasts but 2 of them were between stations and one (Edgeware Rd) was at/in the station. That's why there was the initial information that 5 stations were hit.

They are confirming just the one bus blast now at Tavistock Sq.

Also they wont have all the facts for hours, dont forget theres 4/5 rescue operations going on.

Stuie's right. If I knew there were bombs going off around that area I would have got the hell out of there, not continued walking towards the main blast area!
The only time I heard that there was a bomb threat in the area was when one went off in front of me. Not good enough in my opinion. The poor people who were nearer and are probably in hospital now might not have been there if they'd been told that a bomb had gone off nearby.

That's what annoys me. The bus bomb was the last one to go off I think, yet one had gone off in Russel Sq tube earlier, yet there were still hoards of people everywhere, why wasn't the area cordoned off?

I think either www.eb.dk or www.eb.dk im not sure however, but one of the major tabloids!

ok thanks for looking out that for me. :D cant speak Danish though.

its ok, but i dont think it was anywhere near 90%, especially at the time of going to war. (maybe that poll was for should the uk still be in iraq now?)

but there was support (might not be the majority, but would at least be nearly half) for the war in Afghanistan to find Osama bin Laden and hunt down Al-Queda.
and that is why there is retaliation this morning, for the UK support of the war on terrorism...
