at least 12 dead

I think that is going to be a fraction of the final confirmed amount  I've just had a text from a friend who works near Kings X and it seems a lot lot worse

same happened in Madrid, by midday there wasn't a huge ammount. Then by night time it had gone thru the roof :(

please god don't let this be the case !!!!

There's definitely a partial news blackout going on :? What people I work with are being told first hand from people who work at London Underground is completely different to what we're being told on the news.

It appears that this is going to be on a much much bigger scale than we're initially led to believe

Agreed on that. I think I'm going to start walking home soon. If I'm lucky it should take about 2 hours :?

It appears that Kings X is one of the worse hit areas and there are large number of fatalities

I just want to go home to cuddle up with Tom and my pups

Horrible news! Sad news! Angry news! and our deepest thoughts from the losing Olympic city!
It is heartening to see on French chat sites almost everyone saying to the effect "Forget our differences, Olympics, no Olympics, Chirac - Blair, Agriculture, Bad cuisine, Euro-Pound, we are all with the UK today and must support them on this very difficult day." That is Europe, that is humanity! And it makes me proud to be human!
London, you made it through Nazi bombings, IRA bombings and you will make it through extremist Al Qaeda bombings! Of that I am sure!
Jjinit, you are a sad person and your comments have no place on this board (or any board) and I hope there are not too many people of your slant that pollute Ibiza this summer. Just remember, the English during centuries were terrorists to the Irish, the Indians, the Africans, the Palestinians, the Iraqis, need I continue?
I am sad for the innocents that suffer whether they are in London and English or in Baghdad and Iraqi or in Gaza and Palestinian.

our priminister joined forces with bush and blair in the war in Iraq despite 90 % of the population were against it, result<. one of these days we´ll get the bombs also!

i dont think the number was no where near as high as 90%, although i would say that going to war was certainly unpopular.
they went to war for the protection of the world and the security of the country, and this what happens when you stick up for yourself against people who want to do very bad things to innocent people.

but i don't think its for the war in Iraq, its probably the one in Afghanistan if this is to do with Al-Queda...

My sister works for an insurance company and one of their crime investigators has told her that a lot more has happened than has been released yet :( :( :(

every1 here in ireland is shocked and disgusted to see the horror on the steeets of london.on behalf of myself and all my work mates we wish ye all the best and our toughts are with ye all.

speculation just makes things worse, i think its best just to wait for the facts when all sites have been worked. Take the statements from the bbc/sky with a pinch of salt.

My girlfriend has just told me that on Sky news they are saying 45 people are dead

Don't be supprised if that doubles, I funkin hope not, this is terrible. I feel sick.
I'm sure more than double. They haven't elaborated but there's supposedly a "major rescue operation" at Kings Cross and lots of people still stuck down there.

And that bus looks frightening....

Becki,

When I was 14 yo I saw a car exploding 100 metres far from my home. It was an eta atack and nobody was injured but it was a very very scary experience that I would never forgot.

From sunny barcelona (today grey and cloudy) I send you a big hug and a big kiss.

xx

Yeah that's what I've heard. A girl here has a friend who works for London Underground and if what she's just been texted is true this is way way more shocking and horrifying than we originally thought
