France - Zidane was AWESOME, prob the best performance i've ever seen by the great man in 10 years or so of watching him.............he showed ronaldinho, rooney, messi, riquelme, etc, etc why he is the greatest player of the modern game.........................immense. he has been a passenger for R.Madrid this year. Hope he goes out with a bang. ZIZOU!!!!!!!!8)
Thought france played as well as any team in the tournament in the game
Zidane was imperial in that game. He ran the midfield as if he were 10 years younger, with the equally youthful looking Makalele and Viera as his sentinels. Brazil were made to look... ordinary.

Don't roll your eyes at me, sonny! Just telling the truth. Someone like Scholari would've been fantastic but sadly I can't see things changes with McClaren at the helm.

scorlari is a cheating twat

Just curious... what do you guys think about a case like Rooney's?

He was fouled up the wazoo by Carvalho and another Portuguese player (forget who), but insisted on staying on his feet. In the end, that decision led to him being sent off (or, as we say in America, ejected ;)). It wouldn't have been entirely dishonest of him to go down given how much he was pushed and kicked... opinions?

same old England, whinging about being hard-done-by.

England were poor during this World Cup and quite rightly deserved to be dumped on their arse.

word.

inept management, poorly performing over paid prima donna players.

its a hard call as to who's gonna win the tournament though

the germans still look very strong, they are playing with flair AND steel

the french are on a roll and STILL have some of the best players in the game

the italians are playing like they just dont care

the portugese might just strangle all excitement and life out of the tournament and win the damn thing on penalties

I find myself in the extremely uncomfortable position of wanting the French to win. :? Lesser of 4 evils, I guess

Dilemma

So, now that my team has reached the finals, the dilemma. I will be in Ibiza on Sunday, the 9th (Finals). I plan on hitting Space for a good part of the day and night. The game is at, I believe, 7:30pm -10:00pm (Ibiza time). Does anyone know the rules for re-entry into Space (leaving and coming back), or by any chance will they have a big screen playing the game at the club (no sound obviously)? Thanks.

I was driving to my best friend's place when I called up my dad to find the score. I was so pis*ed when he broke me the news that I wanted to throw my cell phone out of the car. I am absolutely gutted.

I had one of those feelings (when I left home to go to my friend's place) that if I leave the game my team would lose. I guess some of you folks can relate to that. When calling my dad, I had a very eerie feeling, and hearing the news made me sick.

Witnessing so many German flags over the past month was very refreshing, and my best friend's dad told him that the team really brought the entire country together. I really hope they keep the national spirit alive.

Klinsmann. How do I even begin? As a player he was a delight. As a coach he brought the emotion and poise with him, and managed to wow his critics.

Oh, I'm so happy, Italians are in the final!!! They were much better than Germany in this game and deserved to win. Now only one match to go and there we have it: World Champions 2006 :D
