what used to be the mao rooms (the lounge bar in c. d'emili pou 6, now owned by el divino), which remained closed this summer because they didnt have time to finish the reforms inside, will reopen next summer as el divino lounge!!

even if its not completely finished yet, i have been told that tonight they have an opening party for-friends-only. apparently the name has been changed to something like eivissa lounge!!

erm, ibz lounge!!

ibz lounge had an opening party for friends last night and should be open for everybody around the 1st of june!!

it opened last night. btw, the party for friends of last week it was a kind of pre-party for the dirty diamonds event in barcelona (with bruno, gianluca de tiberiis and miguel garji)..... not a big surprise that they chose this venue as the manager of ibz lounge is christopher kean, the man behind the infamous invite-only parties!!

ibz lounge is now also working as a sushi restaurant. btw, last week they finally put a sign outside with the name of the venue.....

like when it was the mao rooms, ibz lounge will be open during the winter too!!

the new aramón cafe near plaza del parque (at the left of aramón and known last year as the ice cream parlour gelateria piazza milano) should be ready to open in two weeks.

the bar amargo in sa penya (lately turned from a gay bar to a rock bar and known in the past, among other names, as the farting monkey ! ! ) is for lease or sale

it opened in july as bar 22, its old name before it turned into amargo in 2004, and shortly after closed again due to "technical problems". it reopened at the end of july

wine bar in ibiza nueva is no longer a bar. as every year, it closed after easter but this time it wont reopen in october as usual (in case you didnt know, it was only open during the winter)..... the people behind the life marina building, which will be constructed in the land next to keeper and has been designed by they same guy who did the torre agbar in barcelona, bought the bar and the laundry behind to do their offices and also the old bar area next to irma's to use as a show flat (they also tried to buy el encuentro and pk2 but they dont want to sell, for now ! ! ). whoever who had the chance to visit this crazy little place, which had guests like tania vulcano/josé de divina/fabrizio/dan ghenacia/clive henry/jo mills/etc, knows how cool it was..... specially this last winter when it was also open as an after-hours!!

and contro vento in sa penya is no longer a bar either. after various seasons doing singles parties, lesbian parties and even offering escort service (among other events that would make sodom and gomorrah blush ! ! ) it will turn into a house, a huge house!!

Tsss Macky a little bird told me that they will be back on another location because this one was to small.

tsssk tsssk, wimpie..... ..... a little birdie tells me that there will be no more atmoz, at least for now!!

since last thursday, and after more than 3 months as el patio, its called atmoz again

the hotel/restaurant la ventana in dalt vila should be open too but is not..... as you might know its owner died this summer!!

taken from gayibiza's newsletter: ‘La Ventana’ is now owned by Pepita and family (of Navila, El Portalon and Ca’n den Parra). The hotel is being managed by Sam, last year’s general manager from Anfora.

this winter la ventana will be open, like in the past..... only the hotel though, not the restaurant. but if you fancy a good restaurant el portalón, just around the corner, will be open daily except on sundays!! 8)

well i was in ibiza mid-july staying at luxmar for 12 days...it was empty almost everyday

the reformed pk2 reopens this friday. open fridays/saturdays/sundays with miguel garji (long time resident of the chiringuito pk2 in s'estanyol) and guests

the bar kings in the west end (a.k.a. the bull bar) is in ruins at the moment. they have knocked down everything, except the exterior walls, to be rebuilt!!

a little bird told me that, apart from a new bar, they also want to do apartments above. as you can see in this picture taken some hours ago the remaining walls have been demolished too

although it was supposed to happen one year ago, the gay bar natural men in dalt vila (c. ignasi riquer 17) is getting refurbished to reopen next summer after various years closed. the bar is still owned by fernando (ex-anfora) and, apparently, will now be called nicol (its previous name)
