it opened in july as bar 22, its old name before it turned into amargo in 2004, and shortly after closed again due to "technical problems". it reopened at the end of july

angelo, the largest gay bar in ibiza including a restaurant in its huge roof-top terrace, has hung the "se traspasa" sign too.

No less a person than the newly crowned Mister Bear International, Pedro Veral, will be bringing his mighty hirsuiteness to Angelo's bar in Sa Penya (its actually called angelo..... angelo's is in la marina - McR). An Ibiza regular, Pedro won the competition for world's hairiest man in San Francisco against opposition from all over the globe. He'll be installed at Angelo's new hair bear terrace, the first on the island dedicated to men who love the simian look.

space are changing the ceiling of the terrace because its not as good as it was supposed to be (they had some problems when it rained, etc). these and other less important works should be finished before the end of the year. btw, according to the latest rumours the club might open for a one off during the winter although nobody confirms if it will be on january 1st

the guys from bliss in plaza del parque are behind a new bar called pastis in c. avicena 2 (just a few meters from bliss) which, after the whole summer working on it, will be ready to open soon

as you might remember, last summer nación tierra in sa penya turned into honey and even opened with that name a few weeks this winter as an after-hours. well, the bar is now nación tierra again

erm, it changed of name again. yesterday when i passed in front i noticed that they removed "nación tierra" off their sign.....

..... and when i passed today i saw the new name: bar pocholo ibiza 06!!

pocholo, which is famous thanks to his uncle who married the daughter of the fascist dictator franco, is doing this summer a weekly tv program for the channel la sexta called "pocholo ibiza 06" with appearances from some of his friends, like sebastian kato hernandez (what's up?), johnny golden (manumission) or tanit.....

as the season is over and the annoying pocholo has closed the bar already, the bar was for rent (till march)..... instead of the hippies who rented it last winter to open it as an after-hours (and, at the same time, used it as their house ! ! ) this time josé from dôme/solo bar will be running the bar

Isn't it sweet that Gran has got her own Ibiza hotel now? And it's so much nicer than the B&B you might have expected....

as you might remember, the lounge/bar ancient people in playa den bossa closed in 2003 (two years later, after one season closed, it turned into passage) and the people who used to run it opened in 2004 bling bling in sa penya. well, yesterday i noticed that what during many years was the shop altamira in avda. espanya 32 (before they moved to the other side of the road) is now the new ancient people

the good news is that ancient people will be open during the winter too!!
