taken from the ibiza sun: Chris and Julie, who in the past have managed Mr Ciaro's in Cala Llonga, and Murphy's in Es Cana, but have now branched out on their own by opening Pizzazz (formerly Cardamom cafe) in restaurant street in Sta Eulalia. Here they have a great range of Italian food, pastas, pizza's, you can even create your very own "personal pizza", salads, and of course garlic bread. Portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. Opening hours are 6-30pm till late. Restaurant street has now been officially opened and is looking really posh, much better than before, and the businesses down there have responded by adding their own little touches to their terraces which helps with the ambience and appearance of the street

last summer sunseabar was co-owned not only by the architect miguel garcia but also by el divino, after certain club owner sold them its half in the sunset bar..... a little birdie tells me that it didnt work as well as they hoped so el divino are no longer involved with it and the club owner is co-owner of sunseabar again

it reopens today!!

what used to be the mao rooms (the lounge bar in c. d'emili pou 6, now owned by el divino), which remained closed this summer because they didnt have time to finish the reforms inside, will reopen next summer as el divino lounge!!

even if its not completely finished yet, i have been told that tonight they have an opening party for-friends-only. apparently the name has been changed to something like eivissa lounge!!

ibz lounge had an opening party for friends last night and should be open for everybody around the 1st of june!!

it opened last night. btw, the party for friends of last week it was a kind of pre-party for the dirty diamonds event in barcelona (with bruno, gianluca de tiberiis and miguel garji)..... not a big surprise that they chose this venue as the manager of ibz lounge is christopher kean, the man behind the infamous invite-only parties!!

Another faint rumour (and often mentioned before) is that “The Mish are moving over the road to Amnesia”, which if true would be a quite remarkable Ibiza story, though would likely lead to an all out club war and possibly even the disintegration of the islands DISCOTHEQUE ASSOCIATION (six of the major venues are members of this, agreeing not to poach each others promotions - PACHA supposedly lost their membership of the Association following DEFECTED’S move to them from EL DIVINO a year ago).

well, funnily enough.....

today diario de ibiza reports that last week the 5 members of the Asociación de Discotecas de Ibiza which includes all the big clubs on the island (although as you know if you followed the club owners thread, es paradis and pacha left some time ago) decided to disintegrate the association after less than 3 years working together. the lawyer of the association (and boyfriend of the politician pilar costa) explains that one of the reasons was their different points of view regarding the after hours. as you might remember, ex-bora bora ressie gee moore already announced that it wouldnt last for too long: "Ibiza United? Bull****, we all know it’s Pacha and Space on their own and it’ll last five minutes. Two specific clubs went out to close DC10 and there was a rumour they would go after the rest of us"

ultima hora also reported yesterday about the disintegration. the article, apart from explaining that ricardo urgell from pacha was sacked due to a confrontation with el divino for a party, mentions that pepe roselló from space resignated after the association presented allegations against the new closing times in san antonio (for obvious reasons he is very happy with them ! !). david de felipe from amnesia adds that what space is doing is disloyal competition and accused them for trying to get the monopoly..... ..... fight fight fight!!

Exactly... You could see why that organization would be hard to hold together. I'm not sure of the back story but La Troya moving from Amnesia to Space is another one along the lines of Defected. If Manumission really moves to Amnesia (though I doubt it), then all has been made clear...

the lounge bar/restaurant ak morgana in ctra. aeropuerto km 5 (which didnt open last year) will reopen this summer

erm, seems like it will not open. some weeks ago the radio was advertising that it would open soon and their logo was illuminated every night..... now no ads, no light, no nothing. probably something to do with their never ending license problems!!

the upstairs bit of the bar murphys in san antonio opens this saturday as the brewery, offering self service beer like la griferia in playa den bossa. the difference is that in la griferia they bring you tapas to keep you drinking while in the brewery there will be a dj on the microphone organising drinking games, etc to make people drink faster

another place that, apparently, has closed for good is the indian restaurant shanti shakti in figueretas

the restaurant marlins in san antonio (next to BayBar) has turned into the beach cafe mar i cel (same name as the mini-golf behind) and it opened today

and another surprise in sa penya: angelo, the largest gay bar in ibiza including a restaurant in its huge roof-top terrace, has hung the "se traspasa" sign too.
