I'll stick my vote for Pach playa which was great while it lasted!

Maybe biff believes it's better now? I hope so as i'm back in three weeks!
 
I went to coastline for the first time this year and it is gorgeous. It is by far the best laid out and decorated. It is just a little bit out of the way unfortunatly or fortunately depending on how you like your space.
 
OOOhh the Sunsets! DJ's for goalposts....young people...just a cheeky half..oh those were the days...
 
I know few people will agree but IMO the best sunset bar is Sugarsea. Very cool, intimate, very nice service, a DJ that plays "It´s Oh So Quiet" by Bjork (I like that)... and a better and less-touristy vibe.
 
What's supposed to be so good about Cafe Del Mar? I went there after all the hype about it and went onto another bar because I found it so boring - all it has is a few sunbeds and a bar. The rest of the bars have much more class in my opinion.

Dave, Cafe Del Mar is about the music and the sunset. I assume you are from the commercial generation?

The 'commercial generation' - what exactly do you mean by that??

You missed my point - the other bars _also_ have good music and you can see the sunset at _all_ of them (I saw my best sunset on my very last night in Savannah), so why is Cafe Del Mar in particular so hyped up when the other bars have more to offer?

Hi,

regardless of any over hyped bars or 'the sunset bars' how about some of the more beautiful places like Benirras beach and es vedra and early in the season can't you see it from salinas beach. lest face it the sunset strip is a dump.

Remember it maybe easy to get to the sunset strip but your there with thousands of other people, why not go to es vedra or any of the places above and spend the sunset on your own or wiv 50 or less other people, you may remember it more.

Cafe Del MAr is so overrated, its gone too comercial for me, what with them bringing out all them CD's an all ;)

what is the best way to enjoy the sunset?

after a bit , i thought i'd take a wander away from mambo's blah, blah, blah, and get a a phonecall i'd just recieved from home, wges, people i lived, near were pissing me off, so i took a wander. i reckon if you find a place for you at a certain time, it's beutifull.

i say to anyone, walk till u cant c any onelse, spark up your spliff and drink your wine to the sound of lapping waves and the sight of blue skies, you can allmost imagine you are away from the life.

hard to walk back though. :D
 
Sugar Sea is a great place. Has a different vibe to the rest along the 'strip'. Grandma Funk had a regular night there this year. Also has the best food, not the standard english/tex mex/ burger bar fare offered by the rest. P.S how d'you FIND kumharas?? :?:
