Does anyone know how Ibiza Rocks is working in terms of their daytime events for guests in their hotel? It looks like they are taking bookings for tables with no mention of needing to be a guest, so how does this work for guests, surely they need to know how many guests will be going before taking bookings? Is it free for them or is there a minimum spend on it?

Ah found it, no prices listed for the minimum spends so it looks like they're pretty ridiculous. The only example they give is if you have the cheapest option for 8 people then the minimum spend would be 800.

Can't remember the last time I saw the west end this busy to be honest...

(Appreciate this is a tad off topic)

The thing is : What will happen if they catch you at an illegal rave or something ?
the organizer might be fined.
the organizer AND the clients:

fines of up to 60.000€ for those who go to illegal parties in ibiza...

... nothing compared with the up to 600.000€ for the orgaziners!

When is something considered an illegal party?
Let's say I have 15 friends in my finca...and I'm a living room dj so I'm just playing some tunes. People are dancing in the garden or in the villa.

No entrance fee, no prices for drinks etc. Just some friends having fun. I'm sure that can't be up to the GC officer right? Did they write rules for this?

they're just trying to scare people with these big sums of money. as you can imagine, the rules aren't that specific.

15 Friends plus sound plus dancing plus GC ?
I think its enough. Personal opinion

I get it. But that is in fact kinda scary...cause if the GC is knocking on your door and the officer has a bad day or wants to set an example...
Ah well, we'll hear examples soon enough.

Out of interest, if it's just the folks I'm staying in a villa with, what is the ruling then? (Appreciate it's not specific)

Is that must because everyone is outside though?

Its hard to judge West End crowds in recent years as rules have varied from 'do what you want til 6am' to 'everyone indoors at midnight'

dont want to be in ibz jail for killing one ?
Yo! Cop killer... careful with what you say to them:

i had 190€ fine last year in ibz, i dont want any more € fine
i will wear a tissue mask anytime in the car (even one i may use a couple of times ? ) as no way to loose some € for fines.

In the car?

I used to wear one in the car to show solidarity & provide a good example at the beginning of the pandemic, but I stopped. Drinking coffee and de-fogged sunglasses were more important than that symbolism I suppose.

I would be thankful for any enforcement whatsoever of the mask mandate & six-foot social distancing.

as a consequence, the announcement of tougher measures for the "excess tourism" areas is imminent... including the West End, even if NOTHING happened there!

contrary to what happened in mallorca, where they directly shut all business in various problematic streets, the measures for the west end are a bit more relaxed (for starters because only two bars are open so far in the main street, cas padrí and now also the highlander). so here's what they banned this time:
- high tables, to avoid the concentration of people (?)
- drinks of more than half a litre
- the use of straws
