A group of 15.000 people gathered on the dam square in Amsterdam for BLM two weeks ago and it seems there is no peak in new infections.

Lots of experts believe outdoor events would have been possible this summer.
Ushuaia did not make this decision for our health...they made this decision for their wallet.
Just because a few experts say that it does not mean that's a 100 percent fact... If one person has the virus at a festival it can still be passed onto other people...

Let's see how the other festivals get on with it

Ushuaia probably did not want to take the risk.. Better safe than sorry

Wouldn't look good if they had an outbreak at one of their nights

i read an article that ibiza clubs are not opening in 2020

So with the big clubs potentially not opening how many on here will still go to Ibiza if allowed too this year?

Personally i haven't bothered with the big clubs for years and much prefer a smaller more intimate venue. One in particular springs to mind.

Having gone in October for the last few years i have much preferred less crowds and quieter roads and especially quieter beaches.

I suppose you have got to ask yourselves was it Ibiza i loved or actually just clubbing...... Its the former for me..

Me + 1

An indoor venue is different than an outdoor venue. Either way all of those people experienced mild symptoms and were fine, just like the overwhelming majority of young, healthy people. I get the reputation risk, but aside from that, I don’t see anything wrong with outside partying, especially if they take some additional precautions.

Definitely heading out in September. I feel it's almost a duty given the fact the Island has given me so many good memories over the years (11 times and married at elixir last may! ) I'd hate to see thousands not visit because clubs are closed and then we lose some of our favorite smaller businesses on the island forever. I'm obviously devastated the clubs won't be open (although I was getting a little tired of being packed in like sardines at el row closing every year!) but surely this period could see a resurgence of the smaller outdoor parties we used to see at Bora Bora as well as some pretty cool villa parties? Obviously, a lot up in the air and this year will be different from others but as long as the government allows it, I'll be there!

I wonder where and when the beach clubs will put events on the calendar... Ibiza rocks and O beach already but the others? Bora bora? and under what circumstances? Everyone sitting at a table and unable to speak to others? Dancing on tables and chairs? Doesn't seem very pleasant to me, especially if you went there alone, like me ... and what about the boat parties? Same story?

brilliant outlook mate!

Thanks :) Hopefully many others have the same view too. It's what you make of it right!
definitely. we are fully looking forward to entirely different type of trip this year experiencing the other aspects of the island with less volume of people

we do always have our fair share of mixing clubbing with exploring but taking the late nights away will be nice for a change

Been many times without clubbing at all and still had a fantastic holiday. You'd be surprised what you can see & do if you're not up until ahem 8am every night. Flights booked for the 17th Sep and quite frankly we cant wait to go... Without the island, we'd have no clubs to visit. Time to enjoy the destination rather then the dancefloor...

u may dance around your table that separate people in order to have social distancing ? Don't think about people dancing side to side except with your mates.
no boat parties, float your boat advertise only their boat trip. can't setup social distancing in a boat party when the boat is shaky and drunk people ?
yeah without the parties it will be hard for solo people to meet random at places if no contacts are allowed (i won't shake hands to mates, breaking social distancing only in restaurants bars and car with mates ) if u r solo i can add u to my whatsapp group (Pm, i'll send the link,) as still some people until aug 10th
