I don't think any country is going to take any risks with regards to a possible second outbreak. Once they've quashed the current situation(which will be months at best).

I hope I'm wrong. But I think so much will remain closed until a vaccine or practically zero recorded worldwide, new infections is in place.

2021 Is my opinion. We cancelled our July trip and lost the deposit. Rather that than stump up another 3.5k end of this Month.

No, for most of them the costs are in no relation to the yield in only one month !

For the big ones , shure

Small bars , small shops and so on will open earlier. Family businesses , I mean.
First the residents will come back ( the people who live in different countries and have a finca or a flat there ) .
For the big ones its maybe too expensive

Jose Luis Benitez (Hï), Victor Agudo (Pacha) and Jose Maria Etxaniz (Privilege) were asked about it by local television TEF and they said july as the earliest tentative start to the season, although they didn't sound especially optimistic...

The only Thing they can say ...

I don’t think there will be a real season this year. They might begin to “open” up the island in June/July, but I just can’t see many people piling in airplanes and in clubs this summer if social distancing is relaxed. Should be interesting how clubs and DJs handle this situation.

I think it's high time that ibiza clubs officially cancel their opening parties. not that anybody still believes they'll open in may, but often the official cancellation is needed legally to allow refunds and also gives security for those who already booked (tickets, hotels, flights).
here in austria they just extended the event ban until end of JUNE at least. thus the biggest rock festival is cancelled.

Assume many of the hotels that are only open in the summer will have to make a judgement call before too long what to do. Can’t imagine it’s that easy to mobilise a workforce without a decent lead in time. Would it be fair to guess that even if all the restrictions were lifted say end of May then quite a few hotels and even restaurants etc. might feel it’s not worth opening?

I think it depends on the hotel. Many of the small family run places and year-round aparthotels could open on a couple weeks notice. Many of them use near-100% local staff that would probably really be eager to get back to work.

Yeah , maybe the small hotels and small bars and so on will have a opening late in the year. But sometimes we saw additional dates in the bigger clubs . Should not be hard to find personell for a small number of dates like pacha in winter ...

But they have different problems now in spain , italy and whole europe ... prevent the second wave. No clubbing 2020 in ibiza . Maybe no clubbing in Berlin until winter.

it can't be long before that happens. maybe the bigger clubs still wait until after easter, but I agree this should happen soon.

one that just came in is octan's opening, originally planned for 7th may and cancelled now.

Clockwork Orange on fb have just posted they are still hoping to hold their weekender and the UK festival. Surely that’s incredible wishful thinking on both counts. They should really just be offering refunds.
