Almost everything is now closed in Playa den Bossa and what is still open is very quiet. I feel really sad when I see restaurants and bars all laid out but nobody is there.

I know, I saw it earlier. no surprise though given the latest rules/restrictions. still, very sad for the businesses affected

Hard to prove when flights are being cancelled and people need to quarentine when returning home perhaps

back to anyone still planning to travel to the balearics this year. I feel like we are very slowly flattening the curve again here, it will certainly still take weeks, but given there are still flights and open hotels, I wouldn't discard october to be OK again.

maybe I'm wrong but I know there are some people on here that still plan on coming out

And I was getting pissed about screwing up my ten year run? not got my hopes up for October but never say never a guess.. i personally think UK are going to pull all Foreign travel again shortly as after only just giving Portugal the pardon again last week ..Thursday coming its back in the line to be axed again surely they won't keep pushing and pulling and just be done with it all

Should have just said no essential travel all summer. Yes some other counties (most notably Spain and Greece) would have been annoyed as would the travel companies but thks flip-flopping approach of places being on and off the list has created chaos in cancellations, people claiming refunds and people going off work to isolate.

From September the holiday demand naturally drops due to weather and kids back at school and would have been a better time to restart holidays.

Absolutely mate! Although we have been lucky enough to have gotten away and are due to do so tomorrow ..the whole approach and run up has felt awful and not what a holiday entails at all.. we have already lost so much money on things this year we weren't prepared to loose more with missing what we already had planned and since we did alot of our trips independently and non cancellation we have been up shits creek, but other wise wouldnt of been booking nothing new up cause the whole sitting in wait for countries to get pulled is beyond frustrating

Just finished work today, not back in until 2pm Friday. Was day dreaming earlier I could’ve jumped on an early flight from Newcastle Sunday AM and would have been sitting around the pool (probably Pikes) by late lunch time ready for a hectic few days then back home with a day of recovery. I can but dream....

When tourism and travel opens up again properly whenever that maybe, it is going to feel the big bucks isn't it! I for one am going to appreciate even the daft things have missed even the rammed disco bus jouney?
