Any recommendations?
During the day I defo recommend visiting some different beaches like calla bassa and I really recommend Formentera. I paid 29 euros return ferry and spent all day there and had some nice food and the beaches are wonderful. Obeach was actually really decent, I was worried it wouldn’t be great but I had a good time as any other year. I visited Wikiwoo for food and drinks. Great atmosphere, drinks are a little pricey cocktails are 15 euros each but the food is well priced and a great venue. I also went Bambuku for food on the second which was UNREAL! The service there is a bit strange, seems like nobody knows what’s going on there haha! But great day anyway

I am normally an optimist, however a report on ITV News this week interviewed club owners, promoters in the UK who were unanimous that clubs will not open until we have a vaccine.

Even in the best-case scenario, and we find a vaccine late 20' or early 21' - can we really manufacture, vaccinate millions of people across the world by May next year for openings? I highly doubt it. Can we hope for the virus to just 'die out?' - with the second surge in cases across the Europe, I think this is a wishful dream also.

I would guess it is a strong possibility we will not be clubbing as we knew it until at least 2022 - We Are Festival in London are now promoting socially distanced raves in pods of 6 - which in my opinion defeats the point of interaction & togetherness at a rave.

It is a sad reality to think Ibiza as we knew it, may never be the same again.

The technology and knowledge in sciences since then has dramtically increased which should lead to a quicker resolution

So has the efficiency of implementing quarantine/lockdowns - I would imagine the spanish flu of 1918-20 pretty much burned itself out as it went unchecked?

The preventative measures while totally the right thing to do may actually make the virus be around longer?

Possibly yeah. Spanish flu was around for a couple of years and killed around 50m people with a world population of less than 2bn.

We’re at about 7.5bn people today, so to be“on par”you’d be looking at around 200m deaths. I’d be surprised if we get to anything close to 5m.

I think the virus is going to be around for a very long time, all the scientific and technological advances will simply allow us to manage it.
