Probably just simply isnt making money. Even in 'normal' years it has its quiet nights, if theres big events on outside of San An the town can go quiet even in July and August.
They have also missed out on the boat party trade. Most of the boats make you go sit in a bar for an hour to 'get your wristband' and thats more money in the till on an otherwise dead afternoon.

It‘s certainly not my thing, but i really feel sorry for all the staff involved.
My best guess is: they are probably operating under a different permit as it's an hotel. But not sure about that. There can be numerous different operating licenses in Spain for what basically is the same kind of restaurant/bar/party.

Can anyone recommend any good bars in the old town? I’m heading to Ibiza Saturday and I hate to admit I usually stick to San Antonio and the Big clubs so I’m a bit stuck at the moment ?

Thankyou! Do you know of any large outdoor seating bars with a little bit of music? I never thought I’d see the day I was searching for things to do in Ibiza. Sad times

But, particularly this year, you really need @stivi for expert advice, or at the very least someone else who is actually there. In normal times you could expect at least some music at most of the pre-club bars in the port, The Rock, Base Bar etc, but I just don't know this year

Those bars right on the port I think are open,a bit pricey but seem to be busy..

My mates are swapping our holiday for Greece but if they go on the quarantine list before we book they'll cancel and i'm keen to still go on a holiday, so I may be able to upgrade on that and will probably be searching for things to do in Ibiza alone when there is nothing to do ? ?

as long my ice cream shop still opened ' im fine (los valencianos on the background, right side, pic of zoo bar in the front)
i was looking at ice cream shop, Heladeria Capitulo2, around tropical hote,l but looks like it didnt exist anymore? or my maps app buggin? or my minds ? ?

I think it’s going to be travelling to some different beaches during the day and see what the island has to offer.
