Its not that, its due to the fact most people(the people im travelling with) would have to take 2 weeks unpaid leave on return, which is big money...

The thing is travelling with out insurance would normally means an incident is low probability, but high impact if it happens. I think it the current environment it's medium probability and extremely high impact.
 
It hurts, but I cannot disagree with the decision. It turned out the current regulations were not good enough to slow down the virus spread enough. Virus cases are on the rise everywhere, and it will only get worse on the continent when Autumn arrives and more stuff will be happening indoors.

With the vaccine still months away, time to hit brakes, sadly ?

So true .................... It's a good decision..... But it's difficult to say goodbye @ibiza for this summer !

I had only really been paying attention to Ibiza, and thought they had a good stance (although unpopular) with keeping the clubs closed etc, but I'm noticing these articles are saying nightclubs in Spain are going to be closed?

So nightclubs were open as normal every where else in Spain?

I think they are in some parts of spain

As far as I am aware clubs are not open in Madrid, only bars, there are a couple of bars that did open air with limited capacity, and dancing

Surely it should be 2022? Is 2021 (first half at least) really going to be much different? The “when will Ibiza 2021 start” thread will be an interesting one. For example, can these huge clubs manage another closed summer? I guess the club buildings will remain but would there be companies to run them? It does seem very optimistic that many promotors have started to reveal their lineups for next year.
