Having had more flights cancelled by Easyjet this week .it making it difficult to get to Ibiza ,due to flight time and new airport location .The Uk lame government are intent on putting as many hurdles up to discourage travel .IMO trying to keep cash in UK ?

Therefoer if the clubs open in July ,they will only open if people are on the island to pay and party ?it is very expensive to run a event at Hi ,Pacha ,Ushuaia etc With no pre ticket sales as normal year ,it will be a slow clubbing year IMO .
Out door events at smaller clubs possible ?

of course it won't be a 'normal' year, no one expects that really. and it could start slow too. it'll need a few weeks to get it all up and running, but I tell you, things are now moving in the background.

Yes depends if people can afford to pay for all the covid tests and can quarantine due to work
Yup. It's the quarantine that's the silly part. If the traveler is fully vaccinated that should be waived with a single neg PCR test on return. It's really obvious the UK gov't only cares about using the UK travelers as a political bargaining chip with the EU. Hope the EU tells Boris to shove it up his pooper.

Yes it a joke! Hope it changes for u guys and it finally gets in the green list!

Something has definitely changed in the UK in the last 24 hours. Whether it’s the threat of court action or intense lobbying by the airlines / travel industry, something has shifted.

Today in Northern Ireland “A paper-based document showing proof of vaccination should be available next month, according to health officials.”

This has never been mentioned at all here before this afternoon.

“A format has now been agreed by the devolved UK nations for official certification letters, which will require specialist printing services, incorporating data protection and counterfeit prevention.”

“A spokesperson said the introduction of a digital certification later in the summer would "also support evidencing of negative PCR COVID tests, as an alternative to vaccination."

I think people have figured out boris's bulshit. If even a tiny % of UK travelers go to amber countries there's ZERO chance to verify after return. 0.001% of the UK is 75,000 people. If that number travel daily (which is a tiny fraction of normal travel) they couldn't track them if they tried. Plus there is HUGE money in travel, surprised it lasted this long

Just to play Devils advocate. Last october, my GFs folks came back to UK from Spain for a wedding that had been cancelled but still came home. We drove up to Durham (shades of D.Cummings !) to see them for a weekend then they flew from Newcastle back to Spain.
On the Monday night, we got a knock from 2 almost embarrassed Merseyside coppers asking if they were staying with us (must've put it on locator form) . We told them they'd flew back and they quickly bid us goodnight , end of matter. But I was surprised that they were even checking up. So it does happen.

they are definitely checking. Daily phone calls/occasional banging down the door like they owe you money, from what I've been told.

Read a quaranting diary on reddit (that trusted source) about it too:

I was checked by two out of two visits.

The first call started asking me for personal details, which I wouldn't give to an unknown number, I said I knew I had to quarantine and they sent the Police to check.

Second time was just a call and confirmation I was quarantining

Although it is great news I'm still very hesitant, as far I understand it regarding the rules you have to have a negative test before being allowed to fly back. What if that's positive? 10 Days Quarantine in an Ibizan Hotel?

You get bundled into a van and forced to live in a cave for 10 days.

But yes, if your test is positive, you won’t be allowed to travel and will have to do the requisite quarantine period in Ibiza, presumably at your own expense
