What's the weather like at the moment?

Some downpour! Very much needed though.
Indeed! Hopefully it would last for a few hours so we can all look forward to fresher and cleaner air and a good soak up for the campos but most of all the streets, pavements and nook and crannies would get a good clean up from the doggies (and humans) pipi.

Hi. Planning to visit the island on 24 September until 2 October . Never been there around the cooler season . What is the typical weather at this time ? Temperature, sea temperature, rain , wind ?

Thanks

You might get some rain. But in 10+ years of visiting religiously over that period and now living here, I can only remember one year when I considered the whole 5-day break "bad weather" - and mostly it's nearly always exception weather for that time of year (it's when my birthday falls!) obviously not as nailed on as July or August, but if you're coming for parties then the weather is less important anyway I think?

Sea temperature still v.warm

Thanks for the reply. Actually sunbathing and swimming is as important as parties . So we just wanted to keep our expectations at the adequate level.

Generally the thunderstorm season of mid-September begins to ease off, early October can be summer-like without the searing heat. So the dates you will visit are pretty much like mine, and I prepare for everything, from hours of hot sun to a day or two lost through storms. As alluded to, the sea is still warm.

Best to keep an eye on the rain radar and sat24.com satellite view just in case as that shows the storms brewing up.

This is the weather Ibiza had end Sept 2022

2021

2020

I'll take that any day!!

Hi. Many thanks for the detailed reply ! Very helpful. And yes we are so looking forward to a great time there !

Really enjoying the cooler temperatures and don't even need AC on during the day!

Looks like it's creeping back up from tomorrow though. Hopefully the breeze remains as it was so uncomfortably still and warm during the day 2+ weeks ago.

Today was really nice indeed! More than enough sunshine, some clouds, a cool breeze.

Definitely no sweaty faces for a changes here!
Sat here at home in the UK and my face has ballooned (so swollen) due to hay fever. Never had it before but boy has it hit me this summer. Grrr...

Wondering if hay fever is a thing over there,as it's so dry in summer would there be much pollen about? I'll be taking my nasal sprays and tablets anyway but I'd rather not need them!!

I definitely sneeze a lot less than when living in Brighton / SE.

The pollen here doesn't seem to affect me as much, although dusty campo roads do!

Am guessing similar across the water, but absolutely ridiculous humidity this summer. Having to change the sheets nearly every day. Was it this intense last year?

here it is very hot but not nearly as humid as in july when it was cloudy all the time.

very hot in the day, but with blue skies and breeze it's bearable

we are looking ahead at another week of sun and really high temps.

buuut…it's something I had observed and which now has been confirmed by the statal meterological agency; it looks as though from about fri 25 aug onwards temperatures might drop a little, and more importantly, we might get some rain next weekend.

let's see if it actually turns out like that…

I’ve been on the island around that last period in August for past 13+ years. Pretty much always around that last weekend of August there is thunderstorm and rain. I weirdly love it…
