What's the weather like at the moment?

Same on Ibiza from mid-June too hot to walk any distance on the sand. Flip-flops I find don't help much as the hot sand gets under the feet, I use those aqua-shoes, mainly for swimming but also as a defence against the hot sand.

In 30 years going to Ibiza, I have always experienced this . You'd think I would have learned by now...
 
Extremely muggy and feels like a sauna today. Could definitely do with cooler temperatures and fresher air, as the last few days have been stifling and not fun much to work / exercise in.

The island really needs some rain too.

yeah even though the days before yesterday were hotter, yesterday was the most uncomfy day this summer so far. as you say, so bloody muggy all day and well into the night.

it's been a weird few weeks weather wise. very hot, but that alone isn't the problem - pretty bad visibility and also the air quality was heavily affected by either sahara dust or ashes of the canadian forest fires.

I'm dreaming of one day of PROPER rain which would wash it all away so we'd then see a proper blue sky again. I miss having some real clear days.

I thought the rain was going to come yesterday late afternoon as you could hear thunderstorms around this part of the island but the, literally, two drops of rain made it more humid and sticky.
It's been ages now without a proper blue sky as a result we haven't had a nice sunset either.

Looking at the Cafe del Mar webcam and it looks as cloudy as London in December lol! Assume just too much heat at the moment? No good sun-sets?

yesterday there was a sunset, but yes, it's a little grey these days - humidity and particles in suspension
 
so in the last few days the weather has improved massively. it's still very hot in the day, but the mugginess has left and you can actually breathe. what's also important is that at night the temperature drops just a little more which makes it possible to sleep.

right now it's great - it's of course peak summer weather, but in a good way, unlike the last two to three weeks previous to that. we also finally have a blue sky again!
