Crazy how quickly the weather cleared after those spectacular storms!

Sun back out and thankfully much cooler.
 
very grey and windy again - we just took a short walk along the south end of PdB and came back quicker than we thought because mrs stivi actually felt cold.

I have just taken my first HOT shower in about three months. only ever showered with cold water since june.

anyone coming soon don't worry, sun's coming back tomorrow and it will get hot again later this coming week.
 
Says it's a cold and miserable 25c on Ibiza today!

It's 13.4 in my back garden now. In early-July I said "this is the end of our heatwave" (GB) and nobody believed me. "The papers say it's gonna hit 35"

It's September next week so it had better hurry up.

Yeah...right...wouldn't even holiday in the UK if they dug us up and put us in the middle of the Carribean!

Seriously though, if the Med became too hot (and dangerous with fires) in August for tourists (what about the locals? Tourists can stay away but they can't) then simply re-jig the holiday season so kids are off at a different time, maybe earlier, maybe later, and go then.

Also need to consider just how much water is available, fewer tourists in high summer make the scarce reserves last longer.

Locals would, I suppose, then begin to treat August as the off-season and go away themselves, maybe to somewhere more northern and cooler where the weather's crap and shit is pumped into the sea regularly. Can't think of anywhere like that though...

Just looking outside now, there are leaves on the lawn already, the ground's saturated and even next door's cat hasn't bothered to turn up to deposit on my flowerbed. But a bad August can lead to and "Indian Summer" where Sept and October can be simply gorgeous. However if that happens, the chances are the poor weather has sunk southwards to the Med. Just my bloody luck.

Well whadda you know? Here in the UK the start of Sept should be a stunner, high pressure, light winds and decent temperatures. Meanwhile Ibiza is due a couple of thundery days, bit earlier than usual, but as I've alluded to before, welcome rain.

Also, is it tonight the super-full-blue-moon thing? BTW I don't think it's "blue" because it's blue, but because it's a full moon twice within the same month, and also is closer to the earth than usual (it's gonna hit us, we'll all die, twitter will be down, panic) so should look good.
