What's the weather like at the moment?

Forecast is very mixed for the next few days sadly
Saturday - fluffy clouds and 20c. Did the Balearics miss the heavy rain (flooding) that hit Italy and the south of Spain + Gibraltar?

I reckon 31 May might be my first dip
I’ll join you!

Heavy shower last night (around 2/2.30am?) which was much needed for the island but glad to have returned home from Paradise Lost by then.

Quite a few clouds today but still hot & sunny.

yeah looks like we're in for a mixed bag for about a week or so now. it's the weather we should have gotten in march and april really (when it was very warm and dry for the time of the year). I don't think we'll get a massive amount of rain overall, but a few days of the next week will definitely include showers.

Do you think Hostal La Torre not worth it for sunset dinner in the rain? Anyone know if they still have DJ’s and move the terrace tables inside?

Was that in Ibiza? I didn't notice/hear that.

Supposed to be flying out on Thursday for 4 nights. Weather forecasts keep changing but it's not looking great and ironically much nicer in London. Flights are on airmiles, so I could cancel, but not sure about the hotel.

yeah it's not looking fantastic for the upcoming few days. that said it's not overly bad neither.

There is always like 1 week of the year (usually around mid May / early June) when London get better weather than Ibiza. The media dig out all of their "London Sizzles, Ibiza Gets Soaked" articles that they have been churning out for decades.

I mean I would personally never cancel over weather forecast...

We fly on the 31st, mixed bag of weather forecast but I never take forecasts to seriously until 3 days before. This will be the earliest in the year we’ve ever been on the island

Yeah, and what they ignore is many parts of Spain are screaming for the rain to fill the reservoirs and aquifers.

I’d much rather be in a wet ibiza over a sunny London

Lazy boozy/spliffy afternoons in london pubs/parks are fun though in the summer. Miss all that. In spain people don’t have picnics or take to the parks in the same way, tho in fairness there are far fewer parks

Just returned from a quick trip to Ibiza (arrived early Tuesday, left early today). The weather was disappointing - drizzle and rain now and then and mostly overcast skies on Tuesday. More overcast skies early Wednesday, but the skies cleared and the sun did come out in the afternoon, so at least I got to spend an amazing afternoon at sa Trinxa.

But even with overcast skies, somehow enough heat was coming from above to make being at the beach enjoyable. The water at Salinas felt like +21C, refreshing but ok to swim.

Had to skip the "Reboot" party at Eden despite having tickets, because due to the lack of beach time, I wasn't relaxed enough and was too sleepy (I am no longer in my 20s) :(

I was first mad at myself for not having canceled the trip due to weather, but in the end, I am glad I went. Ibiza trips that early in the year are all about building anticipation for September anyway
