Weekend Plans

Late winners for both Arsenal and my team I skipper made for a good Saturday, after a good showing from both my boys at their Arsenal session on Friday evening.

Further good work at rugby training this morning, though youngest complained bitterly about the cold throughout. Matches start next week so hopefully he'll get over it.

Hoping for some comedic performances from Spurs and/or United later, ahead of a family trip to Pizza Express to round off the weekend.

Saturday was a long-ass day
8am car journey to Oxford for an uninspiring 0-0 football game. Nice beer with mates though. Dropped off in Prestwitch, tram to the centre to meet 30 lads uns dads for the English leg of a stag do : BOX for shuffle board, then Blues Kitchen and MOJO. Taxi to White Hotel, queued for an hr to find out it was cash only on the door - i went in whilst the stag went to a cash machine to never return 🙃 Quality club, smoked filled so couldnt see an inch which made it ok being on my own whilst Pangaea / Lukas Wigflex / aNNa played brilliant music.

Mrs wasn't best please at me getting in at 7am when we were up and out for a day around Skipton at 11am. Sunday lunch, woods walk and cake shop visit - finished witgya movie night 😁

Not sure I need to post details here any more, now being the most predictable man on the planet.

Friday: Kids Arsenal session predeced by pizza

Saturday: Take kids to pick up my sister and see my folks. Looking to go 4 wins from 4 in my footy match in afternoon. Struggling with whether to start myself, as football is leaving my too tight for signifcant training for The Royal Parks Half Marathon, which is next Sunday (!). Might try and squeeze a physio appointment today to tomorrow to try and get loosened up.

Sunday: Youngest's first competitive rugby game(s)* of the season. Hoping the fleece-lined base layers and dubbin for his boots I've got for him this week will see off the 'wet feet and freezing' complaints from last Sunday's training.

*We host a season-opening rugby 'festival' where they play games against 4 visiting opponents.

Sunday afternoon: Interesting afternoon's footy: expect Villa to put Man U to the sword - the end of Ten Haag? Be good for drama, as long as Arsenal get an expected win at Southampton - don't want Villa (or anyone else, creeping up on us). Hoping Brighton can improve on their win and 2 draws over the last 3 games, for the LoLs of resurgent Spurs being deflated again:lol:
