Weekend Plans

We have a red weather warning in force tomorrow for gale force winds and rain so I’m staying in and making some mince pies.
Your area got the worst of it? Seen some horrible damage and we had a guy killed not to far from here in Erdington. Off to my mom’s to fix her fence after breakfast.

It got quite noisy Friday night, but damage wise apart from a few trees down we’ve got off lightly. I think they’ve had it worse further west though.

Was my 40th yesterday, pretty chilled out one with a nice lunch and then Rhod Gilbert’s show all about his cancer on the evening. Thank goodness the news last week was good and we could laugh at it…

Shortly off to see Bristol v Leinster in a very tasty (and windy) European rugby match.

One fence panel sacrificed here over the weekend too, will post something in the RIP thread to commemorate later on

Happy birthday!

Enjoy the rugby - the weather definitely made our time at the Saracens game yesterday an experience. Get yourself into the bar at half-time to warm up!

We’ve had Leinster go down to 13 men for the last ten mins of the first half and it’s only 7-7. Will come back to bite us. Nowhere near as good as we were at Quins last week so far

Turned into a bit of a schooling. Hugely different to any other sides we’ve played so far this season, no room for flair, just physicality. You going to the match in Jan at the StoneX @Buckley?

Welcome to the 40’s

Tonight - no Arsenal session on, so local family Pizza Express trip and movie night

Saturday - take kids to my folks and then last footy game this side of Xmas. Need the win to guarantee we stay top!

Sunday - head down to Woodstock in Oxfordshire for 'Xmas Day' with the outlaws (May manage to get the boy to his rugby match in the morning depending on timings)

No mate, we're still away on 4th. Only made it to last week's because my footy was called off and the youngest was playing on the pitch before....

Yesterday, dinner at friends place (just outside San An.), then Plaza de Parque.
Soo many people there, when the bar closed we went to another bar with a Staff friend.
Tonight we're going to Akasha, then tomorrow Mercadillo San Jordi. Maybe
Sunday at the Mercadillo San Juan.
Life goes on in Ibiza..........
Where should we go tonight in Sta. Euladia for a pre. drink?

Fri - Mrs is out for her 1st Christmas do of the season. Left me jobs to do, chnace of doing them - low

Sat - son's football game at 9am. Play date with his mate. Mrs is going to Liverpool for another Christmas do.

Sun - this is boring but there's a crumbling theatre built in 1894 that hasnt been open in town for a long time (30+ yrs) . Seen pictures and wanted to go in, as they are always on about sorting it out. There's an open day on Sunday, hard hats n like - want to drag my son down.

Currently looking for somewhere to go Mad Friday. Disco Biscuit in Leeds or LovedUp in the Golden Lion Todmorden looking likely. Not been out properly for a few months

Enjoying sunshine in Malta, just went for a swim in Paradise Bay. The water feels like +21C, the air is +22C warm.

Not enjoying driving on the wrong side of the road (the first time in my life). So far, no pedestrians killed, no cars wrecked, 2 dangerous driving mistakes  Will search the Internet for beautiful photos of the Malta landscape when I get back home - the only thing I saw so far was the road ahead of me, making sure the divider stays on the right side from my car 🤣

Now I really feel for Brits who have to drive on Ibiza - must be much less fun for them than it is for me...
