Weekend Plans

Started early last night with a rare date night for the missus and I. Saw Gladiator II, entertaining enough, despite being panned by critics.

Tonight pizza and Arsenal with the kids

Tomorrow - usual business of picking my sister up in morning and bringing her and the kids to see me folks. In the afternoon, I'll be Ron Manager only, on the sidelines as I have a calf strain. Looking for a 6th league win out of 6.

Sunday - Kids have an early rugby game, 9am start. No Premier League this weekend so will plan an afternoon out somewhere. May begrudgingly watch Ireland vs England in pointless match at 5.

Heading to London this week to visit the eldest daughter and her boyfriend. Not much planned apart from some pubs and food.

Didn't post last week but went to Motion for Chicane which was pretty darn good.

Although bad news this week with Motion's lease up next July. It's not looking good due to surrounding development (new homes \ student digs) and the landlord looking to probably sell up so may go the way of so many nightlife venues.

Long weekend
Waiting to board a flight to Dubai. Never been before (or wanted to) however my best mate wanted to go for his 40th. My wife and best friends have been a few times.

Sat - breakfast brunch at Ula, then my first visit to ocean beach (again my wife/her friends often go in Ibiza) booked a bed blah blah Then at night we are going to a techno party with Pan-pot.

Sun - Glastonbury ticket sale on wifi🤞 Five beach club then Pier 7.

Monday - into the desert for some dune bashing/quads, STK at night.

Tues - going to the old town on my own for some culture. Then a brunch or Atmosphere at Burj

Means that this weekend is resetting, telling family, cancelling and rescheduling stuff (no Glastonbury now by the looks of it, sob) and generally getting to grips with the absolute bullshit that is cancer.

So, bit of an update for anyone that’s interested- after 6 months of hell, operations, radiotherapy and everything else that goes along with it, my partner was given the all clear yesterday and is cancer free. Lots of monitoring, reviews and scans to make sure it stays that way still to come, but yesterday was a Good Day
