Weekend Plans

Mrs. has been gone most of the week on a girls trip and she's back late tonight. Been a solid week with the little, was def tired going to bed last night. Had planned on sleeping in until the little woke me up at 7 saying her belly hurt, figured she just needed some bathroom time - nope. Thrown up three times so far and guessing there will be more...

Haha i was actually saying to me mates i wanted teleported home yday morning. Was a horrible flight time of 5pm so i didnt get home until 8 then back straight to work today🤢

Yeah, we learnt a while back for all stags, football tours and general madness that the pain of an early flight is preferable to the long agonising wait to get out of Dodge. You can, of course, not let the dream die and carry on and on, even on the way back, but you're just delaying and compounding the horrors to come.

Hope you a had a smasher and are on the mend now!

Which has just reminded me that I'd probably still be a dead weight in Berlin if my mate's brother in law, a noted Sergeant Major, hadn't picked me up and carried me on his shoulder from the hotel to the plane on a said mate's stag do. As I was best man and the wedding was a couple of weeks later, I still consider myself in his debt :lol:

There was another stag do on our flight who were still on it hard on the way home but that wasn't for us lot:lol:

Inspires fond memories of a football tour to Liverpool where the train journey back to London on a Sunday was us all telling each other to "not let the dream die, its only over of we let it be:lol: "*

*culminated in the 2 self-proclaimed fastest centre-backs in the club almost getting nicked for having a race down the middle of the road outside Kings Cross O'Neills...:lol:

Tonight: pizza and Arsenal session with the eldest, then sleepover in the cloud with the kids

Tomorrow: take kids to my folks in the morning. Then in the afternoon, now my game is off, I'm playing for our Vets team in a semi-final. Big adventure down to Roehampton on public transport! Might watch Arsenal Brentford down there before heading home

Sunday: Youngest has a rugby tournament in the morning then taking the wife for Mother's Day lunch.

I’m having a quiet weekend, also not feeling too bright today. Getting a cold or something like that.
