Weekend Plans

Just a barbecue tonight and followed by a bit of tv.
Saturday a favour to play out for a 60th. Not too far from home but a big country garden with a couple of bands, pizza’s, possible camping and us finishing the night with a dance. It’s interesting as we really don’t know what the audience will like. The bands are reggae and soul. So it’s a bit like try stuff and see what they like. And we are allowed to put our tents up until late. So could be fun or we just get cabs home as we’re only 20 minutes up the road. But they are pretty hippy so we might not be in a good enough state to get home.
Sunday got to put a door up. The glamour !

Don't do clubbing anymore which will be a relief for the seals we're on a boat to see on Saturday morning! Family trip to Norfolk, near to Wells-Next-The-Sea, Friday to Monday.

Expecting to eat lots of nice seafood containing lots of Brexit-flavoured sewage!

Mainly lovely coastal walks, loads of food and a visit to Holksham Hall, which looks fabulous!

how was it?
It was excellent! I really enjoyed Kraftwerks set. Although the 3D visual thing seemed a bit of a novelty. Possibly lost a bit of impact due to being a sunny summer evening. Probably would have benefitted from a later /darker set time.

The Field Day festival on the whole was a great day out all round a good day of music and a well set up festival. Good up for it crowd of all ages. Chemical Brothers headlined and we’re also excellent!
My only complaint is the short set times for DJ sets I really don’t see the point of booking Carl Craig and Moodyman for a b2b and then giving them 1 hour! I think they played 3 tunes each!

Top marks for free drinking water stations all over the site! This is the way forward.

Agree with all of this. Been going since 2008 and it gets better and better. Shame about all the dust though 😂

Is it, me or are there more festival's then ever before? Some of our footy lads are various ones this weekend - I assumed the same one, bit when I asked, there was about 5 or 6 they were heading too

Off to We Out Here for 3 days of fun, dancing and adventure. And an interesting DJ set at 10am tomorrow morning 🥴

have a good one! know some pals playing tmrw 8-10pm, expect funk/dub/sunshine grooves etc. Not sure where. out of some van in the woods I think. Might be called Silver Bob's or something like that?

Definitely more, I think it’s the daytime thing taking over. Probably easier to get licenses etc

I think it's that - and also a lot of older heads saving themselves for the summer. Loads of people I know don't really go out anymore apart from little festies at home/abroad

Cheers. I’ll keep my eye out for them. Can’t find them on the festival app but from what I’ve seen of festival apps they can be well shonky!
