Weekend Plans

Had my best weekend for ages.

My boy was player of the day at his footy session on Friday evening and then aced his guitar lesson on Saturday. I enjoyed football more than ever on Saturday afternoon and we beat our top-of-the league local rivals. Proper ding-dong, 2-0 up at half time, went in 3-2 down. I, better known for crunching tackles and winning headers, scored an ablsolute worldy (c) @grego, on the volley from outside the corner of the box to make it 3-3. We went 4-3 down, then to 4-4 and then 5-4 up and with ten minutes left the opp ran out of legs, we scored 4 more to make it a playground score of 9-4. Oppositon were fuming and didn't follow the tradition of inviting back to their clubhouse for a drink - so I took us there anyway and took up the main table in the middle of the place:lol:

Sunday - kids had a lovely time at my folks and then I took the family for a nice walk around some woods and then a Sunday roast. Home in time to see most of the genuinely action packed Liverpool Chelsea 0-0 draw and the probably the first time a keeper has been brought on for pens, conceded 10 out of 10 before missing his team's 11th to lose the draw!

Aching today from Saturday's battle, but worth every twinge.

(Been keeping an eye on Ukraine situation, all the above is a welcome distraction. Selfishly thinking about Mutually Assured Distruction and whether it actually exists if the world allows madmen the codes for perosnal profit. That's how we got here, I think)
Hoping for a similar weekend this weekend.

Busy day at work tomorrow then a family Birthday party.
Sunday - Off to London for boozy lunch then seeing the Back to the future musical for the second time, more booze after no doubt.
Monday - playing golf with a hangover :D

Not defending him but Putin is a very intelligent man. The media of course love to tout that his plan isn't working but since when are they experts?.

If it was the other way around in this scenario you could almost count on the U.S to do exactly the same thing.
I actually believe Biden is a very dangerous and a clueless man at that, he just regurgitates what his 'woke' advisors put in his teleprompters. and I will say I am more worried about that guy than Putin.

Lets be realistic though throughout history there has been 1000's of wars and in the future there will continue to be 1000's of wars. Unfortunately that is the human race and if you have growing powers trying to take more and more then there will be other powers who are losing less and less inevitably trying to take back control. Russia will take Ukraine no doubt about it. After this what happens with relationships between Russia and basically the U.S will be ruined until someone decides its in the best interest to kiss and make up. life will continue and repeat.

Things will never change. Predictable and cyclical we are
Poor trolling attempt.

Been busting my backside at work this week. Probably bail early today and hit the gym, then some beers with a friend. Helping a buddy move tomorrow and probably regretting that decision on Sunday lol

This weekend started with an early finish from work and took the dog to the beach for a walk.

Tomorrow morning will be dog walking with the usual Saturday crew (the other random dog walkers I’ve met at the park on a Saturday - social highlight of the week these days!), then doing some more work on my dissertation proposal.

Sunday out for a run and then visit my parents and another dog walk. This is my life now 😆
