URGENT APPEAL!!

We'll have to aggree to differ on this, i think he can mix well, he did at the two parties i've mentioned above (space/homelands).

I'm off to the pub now, have fun at work/studying (robo :p ) everyone!

Does anyone remember when he used to play a trumpet whilst behind the decks, or pretend to be?

Or was that Jeremy Healy?

Let people like Judge Cheese keep doing what he is good at - playing the latest popular crossover house/trance/whatever records to people who dont really care what they listen to or if they do havent got the knowledge to make an informed choice.

My point exactly

I understand that you think that he mixed well ? But I ask the question - do you DJ yourself ??

I make this point to a lot of my friends - beat mixing two records does not make a good DJ. When you hear the results of these polls 'Who is the best DJ..' , what they really mean 'Who doesnt make any obvious mistakes and plays what you like ...' - as opposed to 'Who is technically very good...'

Does that make sense ??? :D

He is Vauxhall Conference compared to the Premier League ...

Chuckling...heheh!

Regardless of the music he is just a bit of a fool isn't he?! I think it has a lot to do with the paraphanalia and associations that his very name brings to an event......its just not "cool" and therefore we don't want to associate with it.

His stuff is aimed at a much younger audience in general - so he is taking a huge risk by going to DC10 where the average age will be between 26-30......the levels of expectation will be so much higher than what he is used to. I reckon he will make a fart of himself.

Conclusion?? - We don't approve of Judge Jules's approach to music within the forum of Circoloco/DC-10.

Gosh that was formal.

Committee members should write to the email address specified at the beginning of the thread to dot the i's and cross the t's.

I thank you.

I think Jules has got an appreciation of House/breaks/progressive stuff which is why he has choosen to play somewhere where he can play that kinda stuff.

He cant in his own night/godskitchen/crasher/wherever because people go to those to hear him play trancey/hard stuff.

He dosnt have to go and play an unannounced set at homelands, or turn up and play for free at space or dc10. If he's doing these gigs then surely then only reason why is becuase he wants to and enjoys them and the music.

Thats very well spotted and said. This is what I feel to be the case, he wants to go back to his roots so to speak, as he has really gotten a bit lost on his way( sold out to commercialism) and the reason he is a fool and doesnt enjoy it is because he has been doing it for the money and fame but of course 'sold his soul' in the process. Now he wants to return to 'himself'. It will be exciting to find out how he goes down, imagine a storm  , that would be his credibility well on the road to recovery. He would have to give up Judgement Sunday etc, to become fully recovered though.

Go on, give the bloke a chance. Hes got more talent than he's been showing and than you might give him credit for, I feel. He's been around the block a few times in the industry, just took wrong turning, cos of the lure of the gold, like many do, and is now coming back on track.

Of course I could be mistaken, and he is uttely lost, but he is an intelligent guy, believe it or not, which might deserve a second hearing.

I think Rodber is right, knock this one on the head.

3 words: Jules is S***!!!!!

Going back to his roots ??

And what roots might they be ??? I'll have a look thru my record collection and see if I can find his name on a well produced quality house record.....

I might be sometime ..............

In last year's Ministry published "Ibiza Mis-Guided" book they ask a few top dj's and promoters what their best parts of the island are:

Whats the best club on the island?
JUDGE JULES - Judgement Sunday at Eden.

enough said - he is clearly and egomaniac with a hearing problem.

His roots arent trance and commercial stuff. He used to play cutting edge house and a bit harder stuff but not really baad stuff as now. He started on a road, it was difficult to get off, now when that scene is dying anyway, he seems to realise he has been off track, as to the music he LIKES AND LOVES himself, cos it certainly aint the stuff hes been flogging only. Ask anyone whos been around since before he jumped on the commercial and trance bandwagon, he used to be credible, and he used to be cool. Nuff said.

He would say that tho wouldnt he... being the sole king of it. When your not being true to yourself, you do what he did. It seems now, hes realised... It might be a bit late though....
