The Only Way is.....

I remember going out in Maidstone - Strawberry Moons was it?

Yeah, I think that's a Maidstone one.

I get confused with what town everything is in down there, but The Casino Rooms is okay - bit of a dive, but I'm a fan of places with different rooms and music.

I've been there for a couple of decent dance nights - a house one maybe and a dubstep/d'n'b one - not the sort of thing you get in a town up here. The sad thing is my mate had to give up drugs/booze due to an addiction problem, so future meets are unlikely to be based around pubs/clubs and I doubt I'll be in The Loft again.

Might of been source bar you went to aswell then, that place is seriously wicked 8)
Proper rave house with people completely off their tits  i like to think just high on the atmosphere, but i doubt that is always the case

the fringe around South East London where London blurs into Kent is pikey central

you have to travel a bit to reach the nicer parts of Kent eg whitstable a strong recommend for the romantics/foodies amongst you, tunbridge wells, canterbury for the river and other lesser known spots along the coast. dover is a bit of a hole, and I once went to le parisienne nightclub in folkestone, the less said about which the better.

Is Source Bar near to The Loft? We were waiting in the queue and heard some loud, ravey stuff coming from another place nearby. Never been in.

Can we ask why?

You may...

Massive group night out yet the best mate decide to spend 90% of the night with a guy we knew outside of this group, who also has a gf, who also was dating a girl she worked with....

By the end of the night i thought id make her aware of her silly actions and reiterate the point it was a group night out....

It got heated somewhat and the bouncers picked up on this and before we knew it we were out on our ear...this is now the third place i have been kicked out of in Maidstone just for maybe raising my voice somewhat

Couldnt agree more with that statement, canterbury is lovely in the day like rochester but of a night time, jesus, it all goes down hill

I was accepted by the university of kent at canterbury and went down for the open day but I was warned there was only one club in the town (this was in 93) which kinda killed any interest for me really. not bad for the occasional warm summer's day in the long grass with a hamper and 'that special someone' though.

Did the phrase 'leave it Darren, it's not worth it' or somesuch feature?

I watched some of this Essex ting last night.

Must confess, I didnt understand it.

Are they real people pretending to be themselves or actors pretending to be people or real people being themselves.

Whatever it is, they are a very odd bunch.

The Lilly Allen opens a shop programme however was awesome. She is perhaps the stupidest, least self aware person ever to have laid an egg

There are some nice places in Kent, Broadstairs is very nice in the summer and following it around the coast to kingsgate, lots of secluded bays and beautiful beaches. Ramsgate Harbour is also very nice during the day and if you go when the power boat Grand Prix is on the streets are buzzing. Dont go there at night time though Stab Vest needed :)

Canterbury is also very nice - Bit Student'y for me really there are a couple of Clubs you have The Venue which is on the university campus, Alberys which is like a tiny little cave but a wicked atmosphere if theres a few people in there. Chill - owned by Luminar Leisure (says it all) and Club Chemistry ( used to be The Works / Bizz & Bar bars) your typical independant townie type club.

Whitstable is very nice and theres a secret little venue called the Whitstable Brewery Bar that have some great nights on there.

Maidstone - well the people there are spoilt Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabelia etc etc great venue with an amazing soundsystem + outside terrace ( where the djs rock it) The loft is still there and open its pretty much next to strawberry moons ( the ally down the side) its an old warehouse that has hosted some of the nights now at the source bar The loft hosts nights such as dubbed out and they have some of the biggest names in dubstep etc.

Ramsgate Harbour ( and the harbour area only) Whitstable & Maidstone are some of the places to visit in Kent.

Best thing in Kent the Club Night HowCleanIsYourHouse :)
