The Footy... (2011-2012 season)

Fernandes probably got sick of hearing the post match interview rants....

Never has the anagram "Colin W4nker" been more apt.

See we've been drawn against Howard Webb in the FA Cup

Warnock was a great manager how he turned us around was amazing. He was responsible for some of the best times I've had last 2 years. Great manager but not sure Fernandes and the Mittal family were confident in chucking money at him and wanted to bring there own man in. Done with dignity and respect too. He would get 90% of any championship teams promoted, although he likes to play his favourites despite poor form and will play others out of position to accommodate them.

If it was Gunna happen now is the right time.

Thanks Neil especially for the win over the noisy gypo / scum / inbred / glory hunting / ****ers
neighbours down the road.

The derby yesterday... not bad for a 'Europa League' match...

Warnock sacking is a disgrace:

Warnock is IMO the best at getting teams into the premiership, unfortunately he neither the money or the quality within the team to ever give the prem a good go.

Good to see Henry back and scoring, don't quite find it as exciting as everyone else seems to. Will see how he fares in the prem.

Henry scored was one more goal than Torres  That won't take the Gunners to the top of the table, but maybe he will rub off on some of the other front men and improve their quality. The monkey is off Henry's back he won't have to hear when will he score his first goal, he can settle into the side now.

Why are you thanking him? Didn't the ref win that for you? :p

So... Sparky in as new boss. Former Chelsea. How's that feel?

aarrgghhh what is the difference between a manager lambasting the 4th official saying a guy needs to be sent off or a manager waving an imaginary card?

None!!

Some people really need to get off their high horse.

On another note, Morbyd, are you planning a sneaky trip to Ukraine or Poland this summer?
;)

Is anyone else?

certainly no less than a player running up to a refs face and waving a card even before a ref has decided what he's going to do?

Considering a trip to the Euros.

Flydubai do some very cheap direct flights from here...

Not sure about tickets though

I will probably pop over to Ukraine. Close, cheap and could be fun.

Tickets to the matches are an issue, although I have a friend in sales (for Russia only so don't ask!)

I guess I'd have to go see an England match as Russia's games are off in Poland. I've been to Donetsk before... not the best of cities

agreed. i know it's taboo in britain, ungentlemanly conduct or whatever. but it's a pretty mild visual way of expressing what every club does on the pitch, pointing, jostling the ref, play acting and doing everything to gain the competitive advantage.

mick mccarthy. what a tit

If FIFA gave out yellow cards and match bans for these actions they would stop happening. Waving a fake card and diving is cheating and should be punished. This would improve the run of play. I get tired of seeing players look like they got hit by a sniper roll on the ground be carted off on a stretcher. They get a blast of the magic spray and come back on the pitch. If they had a penalty box were injured players had to stay for a bit of time and checked out by matched official before they came back on, maybe it would stop the acting. Maybe only I feel this way?

has issues with Mancinis "un-englishness"

should he ever manage in Italy, presumably he would be waving imaginary cards left right and centre in order to fit in??

exactly. the tit.

it's like i hate the play acting and feigning ****, etc.......you can get a free kick for pretty much nothing these days, i.e. any amount of contact, say shoulder to shoulder and the legs go and it's an immediate free kick.

BUT return to the glory days of leeds in the 70s and chopper harris and all that. feck that.

still should try and find a way of hanging the proper proper cheats. some times it looks worse on tv than it really is, anyone who has played any sport will testify to that.

but the pepe face injury after cesc tickled his chest type of thing. set up an after the match panel and say "hey you, you c*nt, you're a ****ing c*nt, now get banned".

it'd soon stop. or if referees had a clue ever, generally, that would also help.

Methinks someone may have jumped the gun with that appraisal of the situation its all starting to come out now.

Barton having a bit of a pop is of particular amusement :lol::lol:
