@Nobbie Q Carl Cox next tuesday, u never listen..dj spen b2b karizma missed last sunday at sol house , it worth 1 billion time guy gerber

having gone last tuesday myself, you'd be really crazy not to go to the coxy one. seriously.

I talked to some ppl yesterday at Afterlife and they said the night wasn't as cracked up as it was supposed to be, but the guests next week seem better.

Which is why you bring a lolly/chewing gum in and or share a bottle of water

Not about Ibiza on a shoe string - it is more about not having a big ribbed stick inserted without lube up your chocolate speedway

Sshhh. They'll be confiscating lollies at the door and charging 10 euro for them inside next.

horses for courses, but I personally went with pretty low expectations and they were far exceeded. I haven't spoken to anyone myself who wasn't 100% satisfied.

Maybe they were a bit dissapointed with the short set time. I mean, it's only 2 gigs, and the night has his name on the title, so 3 hours set seems a bit short.

I just like to stress they ruined the Space Terrace. Not only is it smaller but I don't like the design. Its actually really bothering me and does make me miss old Space. They shoulda just kept the design and make it flashier.

The staff is nice tho...but yeah I meant what I said about the music being better than Cocoon. Hawtin was so boring but Sven was aite. Sven at least puts some highs and lows in his set. Just thought Prydz Kolsch and yotto were solid musically. I'm even considering skipping Cox on tues for this
Not a f***ing chance I'd miss Carl Cox in a packed out privilege main room for Prydz at HI. Have you seen any of the videos? It looked a proper night with atmosphere in a great venue which rarely packs out nowadays.
From accounts on here the sound system was spot on too. Hope others see the potential in privilege now and more big nights follow.

I didn't mean to suggest he should go to prydz night, as I will never recommend anyone to go to Hi at all.
It's really a no brainer to do privilege next tuesdsy.
I was just trying to find reasons why someone else would say it didn't live up to their expectations.

Musically Coxy wouldn't be my favourite dj out there, but when you look at the whole package it's pretty hard to build a case for prydz at Hi over Cox at privilege all things considered
Some people want a different package to you. Ask any of the 15k that went to his gig in London recently. You may have issues over Hi. But reality is I'm never bothered about venue, give me a dark room, good crowd and the music style I want to hear anyway over anything else. But other people want different things and experiences. That's why there is choice and variety. Different people have different tastes and preferences over style, music, clubs.

Nothing against prydz or his music but there's no denying Cox at Privilege blows prydz at Hi out of the water no matter what you're into

Not if you don't like the music it doesn't. You don't speak for all and you can't impose your likes on others. Some people like different things which is why there is a lot of choice for Tuesday evenings in Ibiza. And every night in Ibiza for that matter. And some of us have had the whole big room privilege experience many moons ago and want something different now. Choice and variety is good.

Just calling it as I see it. I've been to Privilege in the manumission days and it's great to see it rocking again.
If you've experienced Privilege in those days then you'll get that Big nights like Cox with an up for it crowd and a proper sound system will always be a better clubbing experience. I've never been to Hi, but by most accounts and music aside I don't think it offers any competition unless you're into overpriced drinks, fake VIP bullshit and an average sound system

I've been in the current privilege venue since 1996. There is plenty of competition - different music, flashing lights, decor, sound system, crowd - in different places. It depends what you want. Not everyone wants what you or I want. You can't compare something you have experienced and to your taste with something that you haven't experienced.

The idea of listening to Carl cox in a club with 10k people and a lot of flashing lights would result in my wife probably never setting foot in Ibiza again. The idea of hearing prydz in a club half the size, with decent loos, modern decor and a great light show would keep my wife coming back.

Personally I'd rather see Sasha and diggers in a couple of weeks in privilege and couldn't care less what the crowd, lighting, decor or loos are like.

Of course but going back to my original post Cox at privilege looks a far better experience than Prydz at Hi unless someone has a major aversion to good vibes in a good venue with a great sound system

Haha. Or the music he's playing.
