The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

Again we done Prydz last night. Didn't bother with the theatre as Cristoph at the time wasn't doing it. Surprised me as he's earlier stuff has some of my favourite tunes.

The club area musically was getting smashed. Andrea Olivia and crew were on point. At this stage the place could've been Space, Hi or anywhere else. It didn't matter. The music was decent and that's what mattered. Unfortunately the wife quickly ran out of steam.

The outside area I liked for chatting codshit to strangers

Two things. We're late thirties and seemed fairly old on the crowd to begin with. Although didn't bother me at all.

Secondly the sound system in the club did seem to struggle with certain tunes.

Overall I did enjoy purely for the music.

Just there now for van Buuren. First Impressions

Theater room has best feel, club room feels like something missing. In both sound systems need work, hi freq sound muffled or distorted.

Also €12 for a 330ml bottle of water

Edit: the theater doesn't seem to have functioning air con!

Edit2: I think the problem with the club room could be lighting. It was all kinda flat lit and all visible from what I could see :?:

Edit3: the wild corner toilets where pretty much deserted.

Good night then??
It was pretty decent tbh. I think if Hi was a new club opened somewhere else on the island people would think it's pretty good (besides prices and more edm type stuff). Because of where it is it and what it replaces it's going to always be fighting the shadow of Space.

The out door areas are nice to chill and people watch (line of guys taking turns to chat up 2 women and each crash and burning )

Theater has best feeling at moment but even at back near the doors where there is some air, it was baking. Wandering about i didnt feel any cool drafts that would be A/C, so plenty visits outside. I'm sure there is A/C otherwise it would end up been an inferno. Just needs to go to 11 lol.

As for prices I was gobsmacked when handed a €20 for 2 small bottles and needed to cough up another €4! If they where 500ml bottles I would have felt less butt sore. Bottle of beer was €14 and some students we talked to said it was so expensive they'd only be able to buy a few which might mean their night ends early.

We left just after 5; mainly after spending nearly €75 on 6 bottles of water and didn't want it to reach over €100o_O (we're from Yorkshire, spend thrift!)

The wild corner was like I said dead but easy to get a cubicle. I didn't have the chance to go for a poo so can't comment on trying to go at 128 bpm

Also noticed quite a few working girls , which doesn't bother me, "VIP" service for some I guess:D

In all it can and will be a successful club, just needs some refinements.

Air con is such a basic thing, not having it sorted in a club on HI's scale is inexcusable. Combine that with €12 for a bottle of water.. there's not really an emphasis on providing clubbers with a decent experience is there?

€12 for water is f***ing robbery. We all know Ibiza is expensive, but that really is a joke.

I am not going this year for that fact alone now! Wasnt really planning on going anyway on my trip but thats 100% confirmed it.

No way am i buying the missus a poxy water for €12, i refuse to buy her £3 soft drinks in a boozer so sod that
