The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

we don't hate you, it's your job ;)

no this statement I've made with conviction.

I interviewed yann too last week, the video is in the making now. when you see that he'll explain a few things which simply are correct. the way the clubs here have grown over time has in a lot of cases not been beneficial to the flow inside the club and resulted in lots of traffic on the dancefloor. that is just one example. this isn't about defending anyone or not, it's a simple matter of fact.

You have to leave your shoe at the door and they will give you deck shoes  like when you go bowling.. this can't be true

Nice chill areas are a good idea, better than sitting on the car park floor as with amnesia!

I find out in the smoking/chill areas you end up making friends you didn't even know you had :spank: lol

Space is gone, hi is a completely new club, why can't people just accept that. They are going for the vip approach so better just accept/deal with it.
People are talking about space/hi like a jealous ex still seething about seeing their woman with a new man.
I don't like it either but people are getting too worked up over it.

Understand your point, but what's hard to take is that one of the best underground clubs around, which has seen some great nights and days on the island has been turned into this tasteless, exclusive, VIP nest of EDM.
Some might argue it's just a matter of different tastes and things move on.
I'd argue just because it's new doesn't mean it's progress. And to top it off, the driving force behind this new venture are the same group behind the wave of overpriced VIP culture that's imposed itself on the island, particularly playa den bossa.

Space was way overrated IMHO.

I like the sound of the Hi Club room actually. Lowering the DJ booth and ceiling will be an improvement in that room, surely?

Hardly think space could ever be called 'underground'

Let be real here, in the past few years the top part of Space wasn't really getting used for jams. It was basically only Main and Terrace, so I'm okay with the VIP getting extended there.

Sunset terrace with a garden area and open air AND views outside seems like an improvement and that club room seems really interesting. If Ushuaia wasn't behind this change i think more of you guys would be on board. And there's currently only 2 cheeseball nights, Garrix and AVB and AVB is borderline cheese at that ( I'm hoping this guy plays trance and not trouse)

Having just read that preview of hi I will just stick my neck out and say that I think it sounds good and I wouldnt hesitate to visit if there was a musical night I liked.
It will never be space and (imo) will never be as good but il always have those memories of we love and in bed with space etc, so no point comparing them, just accept it.
