The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

Okay. It seems this is a particular sore subject for you, and I really do emphasise. (hey, I'm no oil painting myself!) ;)

But solidarity should be the order of the day. All bullying is bad. All discriminating is bad. We can all subscribe to that I'm sure. So let's stand shoulder-to-shoulder, eh.

Hallelujah! That is what I'm talking about! Let move on and talk about some Ibiza related or even actually HI related for once ayy?

Tbf there is a growing amount of pressure on boys and men to conform to the Greek God like body figure, and in fact is starting to be recognised.

It doesn't help when on dating sites a lot of women put want a hench (muscle bound guy) with tattoos and beard, everyone else walk on by.

Of course guys put what they want in a woman too on such sites.

There is a difficulty in balancing what is truly an aggressive/bigoted statement vs someone's desires/likes and the "generation snowflake" taking offence on someone else behalf.

People eh!

yeah so any more guesses about the rest of the weekly hï programme?

also it looks like the venue will have a few pretty cool features so once we're good to go we'll happily tell ya.

Mon - Martin Garrix presents Multiply *confirmed*
Tue -
Wed -
Thu - if they are playing the percentages, then guess an EDM carry-on to follow Garrix... So, ASOT??
Fri - Glitterbox in one room? Abode in the other?
Sat - Black Coffee - *confirmed*
Sun - guess EDM since there's already a lot of "underground" tech parties on a Sunday

Well if Thursday is gonna be their rumoured Luciano/Dubfire/Hawtin venture, then maybe ASOT (or Armin under a different banner) on another night of the week?

that sounds more like it I guess. but I'm personally not so sure re dubfire or hawtin. I might be wrong though.

Asot would be a good thing if it focused on old skool trance as well as the more modern stuff.

Hawtin - that mean something along the lines of Enter is coming to Hi?

If Hi ends up having a good program line up then might even win me over. (Plus I'm short walking distance to it)

I would guess that Thursday at Hi will take an Insane like approach - i.e. 4 + different mini residencies?

Also, what about Joris and Nic? Are we looking at Hi or Ushuaia? Somebody has to fill Sunday at both!

If House of Madness (ugh) has departed Amnesia, I think @stivi said elsewhere they aren't going to Pacha or Hi. Which only leaves Ushuaia. I reckon they'll stay on Sundays but take Avicii's relinquished daytime slot. As for Sunday nights at Hi... ill take a pop at something along the lines of Lost Frequencies/Jonas Blue/Chainsmokers. Something really fluffy and shite like that. Or maybe Oliver Heldens?

Will Hi do as Ushuaia have done in the past, and have tech-ier residencies in early/late season, but more commercial residencies during peak season?

Or do they do a Pacha i.e. 3 tech/underground musical nights, 3 more commercial and then a novelty 60s Flower Power night? Though if 'Glitterbox' is at Hi, I suppose that kind of caters for the older market (not that Flower Power and Glitterbox are anyway same musically...... just they are kind of different to rest of programming).

Thinking more widely, while of course Pacha has always has to compete with the other clubs, it does seem like Hi is more of a direct competitor than any of the other clubs have been in the past. Both after the same more healed market...

I think WIC might have a point. for now, only two of the hï residencies are confirmed. black coffee is a full summer long one, but garrix is only a 11 week stint. pacha is different in the way that ALL their residencies are around 20 weeks long.

while I more or less know what other nights will be at hï, I don't know the residency lengths yet of those and so there *might* be room for some early/late season one-offs or short residencies in case more residencies are 'short' ones like the garrix one. will be interesting to see what's happening.
