yes sir. there are a few others too, you can see them on one of the panoramic shots on the far left. that shot I actually took while sat just next to the fisherman's house on the left of the pic you've put in the post just above :)

I know I told you already, but so jealous! I actually tried to find that in July, but the directions I got weren't that clear. It was just finding the beginning of the path!

How sturdy was that rope?

It must be so exciting after living there for a while that you still get to explore new places and have the place to yourself! :)

that rope was absolutely OK, I've had a good look at it before I did a cliffhanger!

yes...as mentioned elsewhere today, the longer you live here and go discovering, the more you realize how little you know about the island. in my case I do think I know the island pretty well by now, but I still have a list of places 'pending to visit' :)

how do you personally get to most parties/afters/beaches/etcpp in high season ?
car/bike/taxi/piratetaxi/etcpp ???

pirate taxis = never used one, never will.

then it really depends...

beaches - if it's just me and my lady, we almost always go by scooter - simply because you always find a parking spot very close to the beach. if we're a bigger group we go by car. I think I've never taken a taxi to go to the beach...why should I?

parties and afters - very much depends on each case, sometimes by scooter, sometimes by car (one of us driving or a friend), sometimes by taxi. what also happens every now and then is that I go by scooter or car and then leave the car at the club when the party ends up being crazier than planned. and then the next day we go and get the car or scooter.

would you take the "highway" with a scooter at night - especially the tunnel at san raf ?

If I remember rightly stivi, your scooter is quite a good one isn't it?
Not like the sh1tty ones they hire out.

well it's a vespa and has been serving me perfectly for years already. in summer it's the only way forward really - no traffic jams, no parking problems and a nice natural aircon. I know people's opinions about going on scooters is pretty split and I appreciate the fact that if there's an accident you'll be much more in trouble than if you have one with the car. but I try to drive carefully and simply am always very wary about the traffic around me. you never have a 100% percent guarantee of course, but I just like to drive that thing far too much in the warm months.

it's that time of the year again. everyone's waiting for the closing party line ups. space and amnesia line ups are done and both venues are just waiting to get the whole billing/artwork through all the agents and managers (what a pain in the a... nowadays!). fairly sure it's the same for ushuaïa. from what I know so far, all of those three parties have decent line ups and it'll again be a long long weekend.... (plus obviously let's not forget about dc10 closing too) :)

isn´t it crazy that it´s already CLOSINGpartytime again o_O:confused::?::!::?:

yeah it is. the season has gone in like a blink of an eye. but I'm a bit torn - on one hand I'm sad the summer's soon gone, but on the other hand I'm SO looking forward to quiet ibiza. I'm exhausted and party-saturated. but anyway...three more weeks now and then we're done; and some of the best parties waiting for us - let's rock & roll.

ok so this is a bit off-topic as it's got absolutely nothing to do with ibiza, but still thought I might put it here as this is sort of my thread to tell tales and stories...

I've just returned to ibiza after a two weeks trip to NYC and berlin. here's a quick review.

New York

I had been to NYC once before, but that's more than a decade ago. my better half had never been and so we decided it was time she'd get to know the big apple. we agreed it wasn't going to be a clubbing holiday, that we wanted to do lots of daytime stuff. but with a bit of luck (or let's say planning) we were in new york just when timewarp NYC was happening... :)

we only went to the saturday night bit, we weren't really tempted with the friday line up and according to feedback we didn't miss out on too much. but saturday was great - met neo95gt and his better half, had a few beers and then made our way to the venue at about midnight. we just got the last bit of apollonia and then it was recondite's turn. now, I love his productions, but by the end of this summer I had gotten a bit bored of his 1hr live sets as it was always very very similar. not this time - a lot of fresh stuff for our ears. after him papa sven was on duty. he started off a little mellow, but just for the first two or three tracks and what then followed was a 3 hour techno monster, just one of those many people want to hear him playing in amnesia main room. it was honestly one of the most banging sets I've heard him play this year (and I think I've heard him about a dozen times in 2015). really good. also, he was basically only going to play 2 hours, but he extended for a full hour...not sure matteo & karm (tale of us) were pleased about that, but they patiently waited standing behind him until he eventually mixed in ricardo tobar's brittle - his last track. we stayed for a bit of tale of us, but they didn't match sven's energy and we also were pretty tired by that time so called it a day a bit before the party was over. overall - really well-organised, pretty good soundsystem and a good party. two things though, I'd have put TOU before sven and I found the vibe to be a tad flat. I haven't been to any other parties in the US so can't compare, but I do hope the atmosphere gets more electric at other events sometimes! still, lots of people, including us had a great time. ah, a shout out also to forum user mmintz who was also floating about the dancefloor!

the rest of our time in NYC was spent sightseeing, eating and drinking lots of delicious food, visiting museums and such. we even went to the opera two nights after timewarp - great experience. we really had a wicked time in the big apple. oh, and they have some wicked beer over there. not budweiser, but the small local breweries produce some fantastic stuff!

Berlin

From NYC we then flew to berlin. on one hand we have a few friends who live in berlin and on the other hand, a few more friends who live in ibiza made their way to berlin the same dates we were there. which meant a big reunion with lots of (again) dinners and beers ;)

...plus, of course, we went clubbing too. one big session. we started on saturday night with a big dinner. then we went to sisyphos. what a place. I won't tell too much about it, just so much - I'm surprised it doesn't have berghain's fame yet. give it two or three years and I'm sure lots of media will have covered it too. if you get a chance, go and try it. we honestly loved it and I'm definitely going back. I now also understand a friend who once told me how he's spent a full weekend inside the venue without leaving. fan-fcuking-tastic.

stayed in sisyphos until about 10am and then thought 'ah well, let's give it a try, either we get into berghain and if so we continue there or if not, we simply come back and continue at sisyphos. so we jumped in a taxi which took us to berghain. arrived there at 10:30am sunday morning and there was absolutely no queue at all. tried our luck and got in absolutely fine. so we continued inside berghain and panorama bar until 11pm sunday night. now, I said I really loved sisyphos - super friendly atmosphere and more laid-back and down to earth than berghain, but from a musical and sound quality point of view, berghain and now also panorama bar (new sound system up there now) are just fantastic. seldomly mathew jonson's marionette sounded so great (DJ function played it after marcel dettmann had finished). panorama bar music was sometimes great (like really sexy yet powerful house stuff) and sometimes a bit too disco-ey for me (sidney youngblood's 'if only I could' was a cool curveball, though not exactly the sound I was expecting). all in all, another fantastic trip to berghain for me. third time I went and so far I was always lucky and got in. but I know, one day I'll get the 'not tonight' too...

monday was 'day of the dead', tuesday we ate all day and today I'm back in ibiza yay :)

Im heading to NYC the end of february (3rd time overall). Planning of doing either Output or Verboten this time. Some recommendations for restaurants/bars? Want to try some new stuff...
