The most played tune as i thought was MICHEL CLEIS - LA MEZCLA.
This was/is this year's Man With The Red Face and the tune who everyone hammered from Trance, thru House and up until Techno DJs.
This was what i asked in this thread and not "Whats your favorite tune in 2009", as many replied and as obvious - this had 98234894239874238 different answers - that was not what i aimed for in this thread!

It's a discussion about tunes people are feeling this summer - and by mentioning that red face ripoff, a fairly incendiary thing to do imo, it was red rag to a bull for anyone who likes quality music...Now, the one you mention here strikes me as a decidedly average and forgettable record on first listen - but will give it a few more goes on a better speaker. I'll come back on this later.
La Mezcla was the most played that I heard too. It just didn't have.. IT. You know?
Great tune by all means and I've bought it since coming back. I'm just not in love with it.
Joris Voorn is pretty good wish I'd heard it over there though!
I listen out for the big tunes every spring hoping for some long lasting belting house tunes but to be honest this year... it's been pretty bog-standard. Plenty of good tunes just no WOW tunes.
Also it slightly annoys me that when I do really like a big tune it's the 9th remix of an old tune. I feel ignorant for not being around for the original
but at the same time the younger generation can't be blamed for liking a class tune be it the 3rd/5th/9th time around even if we've heard it many a time before. If it's good I'll buy it, if it's not good luck lol!

Both great tracks, but they're no 'Music Sounds Better With You', Stardust etc of previous years and wont have the crossover appeal, not that anybody should be arsed about that
I think you'll find it was either Samim or Axwell who hold the 2007 trophy if I didnt hear those tunes played at least 3 times every night or being hummed whistled or sung in the streets by every other person then I am neither human nor do I exist! lol!
