Has this project affected the entrance to The Underground?
the grand opening party is tomorrow ! !the very-weird-looking new bus station, which was expected to be ready last summer, will be inaugurated in a few weeks..... so if you are, for example, at cafe del mar you will have to walk a bit more as the bus stop near villa mercedes will disappearFoundation Stone of New Bus Station Laid.
Pleased to be laying the foundation stone for the new bus station in Sant Antoni last week despite opposition from some affected land owners & hoteliers in the area (specially the very pissed off owner of piscis park who will lose some of his land and who is writing letters to the newspapers every week complaining about it-Mc), the Mayor of Sant Antoni, Jose Sala, apparently said it was a much needed improvement for the town. Designed to keep the public service buses from having to enter & pass through the centre of the town
a little bird tells me it will have space for, at least, 7 taxis and that the reason why it havent been inaugurated yet, although the building is finished, is because the bar (rented by a company from mallorca) is not ready yet.....
some day there will be a promenade around ibiza
ibiza-sun:
New Promenade
The outgoing mayor of Ibiza Town, Xico Tarres, has announced his party's intention to build a promenade from ses Figueretas to Playa den Bossa.
This will be coupled with a project to regenerate the beaches in the area. The project will mean that Ibiza Town has a continuous beach for 1.5km.
More importantly the project will mean the postponement of the proposed port for es Viver, that was set to destroy ses Figueretas beach.
The promenade will be 8 metres wide, and will include improved access to the beach for wheelchair users.
The project is being made at the moment,
and it is hoped it will be finished by September.
The cost of the work will be around 4 million euros.
