Within 10 minutes of striking up a conversation with a couple in a bar in NYC, they asked how excited we were about it: "erm...not at all really apart from the day off". They were horrified :roll::lol:
 
Im wondering how bad its gona be trying to get across london that day?? Got some serious day raving to be done i East London so unfortunately Im gona have to head into Central to get there

You may be alright. Where are you going in east london? The overground might be an option for you.

I never liked west london for it's transport. :(
 
Posh middle class English girl, marries very posh and extremely wealthy, elitist boy. Monarchists rejoice, as the World media and associated commercial ventures have a field day. Boy and Girl soon make royal babies that inherit privilege, fortune and grow up to be Kings and Queens.

The thing I dont understand about the Royal family is that they are a relic of another era, clearly not functioning and out of touch with modern society. They are like an endangered species in a Zoo, artificially protected and nurtured for the benefit of others. Why do they still exist to the extent that they do?

Is it a British Empire thing......a reminder of how Great Britain was?

Is it a fundamental part of being British?

You have to respect them as they are the figure heads of a nation but what they have in common with the average Englishman alludes me.

In my opinion, Kings and Queens live in a world populated by Leprechauns, Dragons and Fairy Godmothers.

Couldnt give a chuff about the wedding, all a bit extreme if you ask me...:roll:

I just hope them closing alot of roads doesnt effect me making my way down to the west country this weekend :D
