Any thoughts on 1742? Trying to decide whether it is worth it for the price and time commitment (probably 3 hours including transportation).
I know them, don’t go there, it’s way too expensive for what it is. sorry to say that but most restaurants in the island run by dutch people are scamsAny thoughts on 1742? Trying to decide whether it is worth it for the price and time commitment (probably 3 hours including transportation).
I really loved it. The concept is definitely a bit poncey and maybe even kitsch, but the building is beautiful and I thought all the courses were presented with class and tasted amazing. If you can justify the money, then do itAny thoughts on 1742? Trying to decide whether it is worth it for the price and time commitment (probably 3 hours including transportation).
Always a big fan of La Torreta on Placa de Vila - which certainly has some epic visual charm. As noted on a recent review they have a newish addition across the way which is great as well as the original building and terrace. So plenty of options for inside or out.
Those are some epic recommendations! All very much fit the brief. I see that they were doing bingo nights at the standard last year on Wednesdays which would actually be kind of ideal if they do those again on Wednesdays this year, as right now looking for a non clubby type event to appease the non dance music lovers in the group.
ah oh well, thanks for telling me!I think the Standard bingo nights end tonight for the summer and don't restart again until November.
Hey so, if you want somewhere to go in Fig, then you should hit up Blavós restaurant right in front of the beach. There´s plenty of real authentic tapas dishes, and if you guys fancy a paella, its good place for that too!I've been pouring through this thread making a note of places for my next visit.
I'm looking for a place for a group birthday dinner in Ibiza Town, or Fig, where we can be a little bit dressed up and not feel out of place (always nice to dress up a little on your birthday eh?)
Sa Vida food looks incredible, but not quite the right setting (although we'll definitely go there another day!), La Bodega seems quite casual too.
I've got some Ibiza virgins in tow, so would love somewhere that has that ibiza visual charm! Tapas is probably a good shout as some of the crew are veggie, so usually lots of options for them.
Any tried and tested recommendations that fit the brief?
Thanks for this, I'm definitely up for some beachfront dining at some point in the trip!Hey so, if you want somewhere to go in Fig, then you should hit up Blavós restaurant right in front of the beach. we went to the one in San Antony in 2019 and bizarrely never been back despite it being excellent. Must return!Big thumbs up for the new Yenuina - Laboratorio de Pasta in Ibiza Town (new town), especially their Menu del Dia. No seating inside but a few tables outside, so perfect for a sunny lunch yesterday.
Excellent value for 15e for the best pasta I've had in a long time (spinach & ricotta ravioli) all freshly made, any drink (inc a large cianti) and dessert. The tiramisu was outstanding.,
