I went to L'Elephant a few years back. Food was nice (although I have had nicer food in Ibiza), bill was about 120 Euros between me and my girlfriend and some fat cat was walking around the restaurant at the end of the night looking quite pleased with itself (no doubt gets to stuff itself senseless on the leftovers). Really nice roof terrace bar there too.

Km5

Best argie steaks ever. Even my wife who outcooks the masterchefs (I kid not) thought they were good, and a great wine list too. The bill was not a killer either. Good atmo music and mad people. Saw Bruce Parry there being inundated by 'visitors'. Found some viagra in the loo which i had a laugh about, whioch my Mrs promptly said I did not need and gave it to some guy who's girlfriend gave me a look of sheer gratitude!!

Review of the restaurants I have been to - June 2009

Just returned from another great trip to Ibiza, and these are the restaurants I have been to :

First night - Dalt Villa - restaurant La Torreta - had some great food here, for a decent price with a nice view and good service.

Second night - Pacha Restaurant (inside the club) - We went here mainly because it seemed to be nice and as a bonus, after you had dinner, you get into the club for free (when spending 60 euros pp). The food is quite expensive (we had dinner for 70 euros pp) but it might have been the best of all the restaurants we have been to. Great food, nice people, good atmosphere.

Third night - La Bodega - Dalt Villa Marina Entrance - I only tried one different tapas bar, but this is my favourite tapas bar from now on, great service, GREAT food, and superlow prices! After paying 12 euros in the Amnesia VIP for a Budweiser, a complete bottle of white wine for 9 euros seems unbelievable. Went back here for the last night and had wonderfull food again! Make sure to make reservations if you want to eat outside.

Fourth night - we felt like italian food this time, so we walked around in the Marina and found this Italian restaurant divided over a couple of floors. Ended up in Il Pavone. We had some quite allright food there, which was mostly quantity instead of quality. They waiter did not know what we were talking about most of the time, and sometimes seemed a bit angry.

Fifth night - went to Bambuddha Grove this night, went there with nine people and everyone enjoyed their meals and the quality service and atmosphere they have there.

Sixth night - Looked around for a different tapas bar and found Porto Sale, also in Ibiza. The tapas were nice, but we all enjoyd the food at La Bodega a lot more, the atmosphere at La Bodega was much nicer as well, this felt much more touristy..

Sevent night - Got some food at Sa Punta, the Pacha bar/restaurant at Talamanca, food was nice, view was superb.

Eight night - Went to Atzaro for some food, entourage and service were great, the way the food was served was really nice, and we got to watch a nice fashion show. The food itself was just good, nothing really special. Prices were ok too, not cheap but not very expensive.

Ninth night - Walked around in figuretas and found a Beachfront restaurant called ALL, which had they same low prices as some tapas bars, and also had great quality food! Had some pastas and some good wine at very nice prices. Enjoyed the view and the nice service.

On average the food quality in Ibiza seems to be great! You can go to the expensive restaurants but you can enjoy the same or even better quality in the tapas bars.

This was not our first time in Ibiza, and will definately not be our last time!

I never went there during the daytime, but since it is a tapas bar, and the locals like eating tapas during the daytime, my guess is that it will be open during daytime.

Restaurant Help

I am going to San An Bay in October with my partner and although I have been to Ibiza the last 2 years with the girls we never ate out that much (we stayed AI).

I am after some nice cafes/bars to eat through the day and some nice romantic restaurants for evening meals in San An Bay and San An. Dont want to have to get a re-mortgage to eat out but dont want cheap places either.

Also want to go to Ibiza Town for a day/evening so a nice place to eat there would be nice.

I have read through this thread but most were made in 2004/2005 so wanted more up to date reviews.

Thanks

A decent "Menu Del Dia"

Does anyone know of anywhere nice to have a menu del dia?
My in laws are over and its my father in laws b'day on friday so wanted to take them somewhere nice but not too pricey? His fave is Italian but think it maybe nice to go spanish, so any recommendations on either would be gratefully received!! :)
(oh we live in Talamanca so anywhere on the eastern side of island)

If you like italian food,go to "il giardinetto",in the marina botafoc.Tasty and not expensive.

Name - Coastline
Where - up the sunset strip round the bend and voilahhh your here look out for the huge neon sign on the apmnt roof.
Food - Spanish style meats fish and seafood, with a hint of british flavour.
Style - Coastline is a sunset cafe bar which looks nice and has a small swimming pool, used to be bigger but has split in two, the other half being renamed Sunsea. They have a seperate area that is the restaurant that is segrogated from the bar area and the Dj, although you can still hear he Dj but not as loud. Has a small terrace surrounding the pool outside. Has outside and inside seating areas in the restaurant. We sat on the balcony overlooking the terrace and pool.
Opinion - We ate Seafood Paella and it was excellent, it had Prawns, Mussels, Lobster, Crab, Shark fin, Squid, Shrimps, Coccles and Sea Bass in iit. It tasted gorgeous. We had bread for starters as niether of us is a big eater. The service and the staff were excellent although i think we had the best waitress, whom i tipped 20 euro's
Price- 17 euro's each for Paella, bread was inclusive and 20 euro's for a very good chardonnay. This was very reasonable for the standard and service we got. Other meals were around the 10-15 euro mark.
V Good.

up the sunset strip round the bend?
first things first, are we talking about san antonio?

The best place for munchies in San An has to be cafe mambo

The food is so yummy , u get good music while you eat an its pretty cheap!

have to disagree. wholeheartedly.
food is fine.
BUT COME ON!
it just have to be overpriced.. its so in demand and popular that it HAS to be.
the can more or less charge what they want there.
