I’m scared to ask but now much do you have to pay for the privilege of squirting sauce on your fries?

0.70€ each.
as I said I don't mind if it's a special house made one - but the basic ones...no way.

Mediterranean/Thai tapas fusion.
Go after dark but book ahead for large groups.
Setting is so beautiful and romantic - perfect place for couple.
Its seating area back onto the auditorium, so on Sundays you get a free concert. We had a traditional Spanish singer one week, medieval parade the next. Definitely adds to the ambience.
We proper gorged - bread and dips to start, 6/7 dishes to share plus a btl of local Merlot from Can Rich winery = €68. Fantastic food and great value. That is was walking distance to our place was even better.
Only grumble was the service was sometimes found lacking. 2 staff run off their feet with full covers. Waited ages to pay our bill both occasions. Minor issue.
Brownie points for taking the missus here ;)

Crazy. We’ll be paying extra for sugar in our coffee next and an extra €0.05 for the spoon to stir it. Condiments and accoutrements etc should be part of the package. These little things can put people off and lose customers and for what? For the sake of a few cents...
 
Savannah (don’t ask, it was late and we were hungry) charged me €2 for Parmesan. Service is poor there too.
 
serious question - does anyone know anywhere that does really amazing buñuelos de bacalao ? (traditional Spanish fritters). I find a lot of tapas places serve up from frozen these days and the cod tastes horrible.
 
just been back to the booo in es vivé.

while the burgers were really good, I have to say I don't agree to their policy when it comes to sauces.

any sauce you want for your fries, you pay. am not talking any special home made stuff, but you don't even get the regular ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard on the table...which for me and I think for everyone here on the island is a simple standard. you go to a burger joint, you get those three on the table. moreover, the sauces we then ordered really didn't taste the way they should have. barbeque sauce tasted like sauce bolognaise, chily mayo was sweet instead of a bit spicy (as I hoped it would taste). I dunno, maybe we were unlucky with today's sauces, but the fact you don't get the standard stuff (ketchup, mustard and mayo) on the table in a place where everyone orders fries really put me off.

until they change that, I'm not going back.
Please tell me when you heard you had to pay for sauces as an extra you looked at the waiter/ess and said ''Booooo'' ...... ???
 
Mad thing is, if they just worked out how many sachets of sauce customers use on average, they could assimilate this cost into the price of meals and no one would be any the wiser. They'd probably end up with higher margins at the end of the day.

as mention before a summary of Restaurant i ve ben along ibz summer

ses canyes ,ibz town cheap one ive ordered pulpos & meat..
Asador can pilot :a classic among the best ones , ill go back anytime as its a pain to look for new restaurantrs, drive there, & they told u its tool alte or restaurant is closed for ever
close on wed and open from 12h30pm? many restaurants open at 1pm in ibz
