Plans for a “NEW” San Antonio

Just back from San An and I do think the atmosphere was slightly different this year, lots more family's coming across from the bay (no doubt more family's have chosen Ibiza due to the troubles in Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia etc) most only wandering about to near the Egg, but a few venturing in to the West End. Made for an odd and uneasy experience seeing little kids running about on the play equipment near Linekers while the usual 'after-dark' activities of San An take place.

Also felt the average age is getting a bit older, more 25-30 than 18-25, perhaps a reflection of the ever increasing prices? On the plus side, the crackdown on PR's has had an impact, it now seems to be 1 per bar not a whole squad of them chasing you down the street. Still had a great week, but I hope it doesn't become a 'family' resort and loose its appeal, a cheap(er) place to get off your box.

I found the best way to avoid this nuisance is, coming from the bay:
- Come off the beach at the Hawaii, and walk straight down the road, past Ocean Beach, and keep going until you get to the roundabout where the petrol station is, and turn left.
- Keep walking down that road, until you come to the back entrances of Itaca/Ibiza Rocks etc, and stop off for a beer.
- Head back out the back entrances, and cross the road, and walk past the front of Es Paradis. Keep walking on that side of the road until you get opposite Piscis Park, then cross the road there to meet the entrance of that place.
- Then turn left and walk straight into San An Town
- Vice Versa on the way back

Misses walking on the front, but you dont get hassled once, and it avoids all nuisances, PRs etc

Just got sick of telling them to F off all the time

I think there is a strip club too, though I'm sure you knew that already ;)

actually i took a look inside that stripclub last year -
of course just for "academic" reasons because i like spooky places.

there were around 8 woman - as far as i remember 2 or 3 weren´t that bad -
plus some disgusting easterneuropean joke of a pimp .

the name of that place is "nightclub SECRET GARDEN".
weird that the - now defunct- restaurant above the stripclub/brothel
has the name "LA CASA DEL JAMON"

It seems the strip club has been re-branded, when I passed last week it was called something along the lines of Baby Girl Strip Club. Haha. Taken into the wrong context and there could be problems there!! I didn't go in so maybe somebody else can confirm and re-assure us of the age of the girls that work there!
